Hello - 3 months ago I had 365cc full profile implants placed under the muscle. Immediately after the surgery I noticed my left breast was sitting much higher than the right. I expressed my concerns with my surgeon who became defensive and told me he couldn’t make them perfect. I don’t want perfection but I have a bad feeling about this.
Answer: Breasts Your implant has not yet dropped. it might drop with wearing the breast band, oral Accolate and, external ultrasound treatments. Go back to your surgeon and ask for this. Otherwise, surgery will be needed later if it does not drop. some women may take up to 6 months to drop.

Answer: Revision Your 1,2,3m progression photos show a normal progression of the implants being high and migrating lower. The left breast has settled into a nice position. The right breast has maybe gone too low. There are baseline asymmetries - the left breast is a little fuller, more sternal fullness, the right breast is a little lower. We always say they're sisters not twins. An exam would give a better sense if it's implant position or baseline asymmetries but if you're not happy you could consider a revision to improve the implant position. I would wait at least 6 months before doing a revision. If you don't feel your surgeon is receptive it might be best to seek a second opinion even if it cost more.

Answer: Circumareola lift In your before photograph, your breasts were asymmetrical, pointing outward and wider than the chest wall. It would have been better if you would have had a circumareola lift to reposition the nipple-areola complex and place the implants through the same incision. I recommend waiting 6 months from the date of surgery before doing any revision. I would recommend a circumareola lift to reposition the nipple-areola complex to achieve better symmetry. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: BA results Dear SRT424, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Implant malposition Your very informative 1 to 3 month photo progression shows the implant progressing in the right direction, downward, suggesting that your issue is not scar tissue (capsular contracture), but inadequate pocket formation. Sometimes we all get defensive, but we should quickly recognize the issue, understand that a revision surgery would make improvements that could have been addressed at the original surgery, and apologize. If he/she has seen that photo progression and not done so, then definitely move on. There are a few good surgeons in your area so find a new one even if your current one offers free surgery.
