I had my previous implants removed 2 years ago and am considering getting new ones. If i choose a large enought implant and go over the muscle this time, can i get decent result without needing a lift? Thank you in advance foe your time
Answer: Implants Without Lift Thank you for your question. Placing new implants above the muscle will create more fullness in the upper part of your breast however it will not change the position of the nipple in relation to the breast. Sometimes the nipple still needs a small lift to reposition it over the implant. There are minimal scar techniques such as the Benelli lift (aka donut, crescent, or circumareolar lift) which can achieve this goal. It's important to consult with a board-certified surgeon to determine the most appropriate action based on the current condition of your breasts, skin quality, breast shape, nipple position, and the desired implant size.

Answer: Implants You definitely need an implant with a lift. Ideally also some Galaflex or some type of soft tissue support. This would be the most beneficial for you to restore a breast bound with appropriate position of the nipple-areola complex.

Answer: Implants Yes, you can technically have large implants placed in front of the muscle. However, you will just have larger and still sagging breasts. If you want no sag, you will need a lift. I would suggest placing implants, not too large, behind the muscle and a lift for best results.

Answer: Lift needed The most essentially thing for you to get is a breast lift. You have much to big of a skin envelope and implants in front of the muscle will not be able to expand the skin envelope. The implants will only be supported by the skin envelope and will descend. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast lift Dear Dazzling551757, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.
