I am 8 days post lower face injection. I received 2 syringes. Approximately 3 days after the injections I have been experiencing severe itching all over my face; dry eyes and mouth; red papules; acne; skin feels hot; and extreme fatigue, which I assume is due to the allergic reaction. How is this treated? Is there is an antidote? I will report my symptoms to Galderma and call the nurse who did the injection. Any feedback is most appreciated. Thank you.

Answer: Restylane Lyft Reaction This is best looked at by your injecting Doctor. If this wasn't performed by a Doctor or by a PA/NP supervised by a Facial Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist, you should see someone board certified in one of these specialties. Allergic reactions are uncommon with HA fillers, but a form of "flash" swelling is more common in the Restylane family than in Juvederm. Less commonly, these symptoms may also represent a filler microfilm response, whereby the filler, needle, or the skin was contaminated prior to injection. That having been said, I return to my original statement about an in-person evaluation.

Answer: Restylane Lyft allergic reaction? Hello Tinyrunner,It is very rare to have an allergic reaction to any of the hyaluronic acid fillers. There are treatments for allergic reactions, but I would recommend you see your physician and injector for an evaluation. It is possible that something else is causing your reaction (especially because with an allergy the symptoms would have developed before day 3). I hope this helps and good luck.
