You can absolutely use Kybella as a way of inspiring you to weight loss. Please do note, however, that Kybella itself is not a weight-loss technique. Instead, it is a highly effective series of deoxycholic acid injections that melt away excess fat underneath the chin. You will probably need more than one session, and I typically space out sessions 2-3 months apart. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist to get the best results with Kybella.
Kybella can reduce fat in one very specific area under the chin. It will not work for weight loss. If the neck has fat beyond where Kybella can be used safely, then an alternative procedure might be better.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
This is tough to answer without pictures. For best results with Kybella, I recommend a combination approach with thermage/ultherapy/exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
I use Kybella for my patients with a smaller amount of fat below their chin. If they have more fat I typically recommend Coolsculpting or liposuction because they tend to be more efficient and cost effective for larger volumes. All are safe for you however.
Kybella can be a great option for reducing fat under the chin. In patients with a small volume of fat and minimal laxity, it is usually the best option. For patients with a little more fat, coolsculpting may be more cost effective. In patients with more volume, liposuction is still the best option and if done well should have minimal downtime. Seek out an expert who performs both non-invasive as well as invasive options to find out which option is best for you. Best of luck.
Kybella is great injections for melting that fat in the neck area. You will not loose weight in any other areas of your body. Kybella can be a head start, providing you with the confidence to undertake other steps when it comes to your weight loss. Kybella does melt the fat cells in the neck area but it does not fix skin laxity. Make an appointment with an expert for consultations. Good luck!
Kybella is ideally designed for small pockets of fat under the chin. It isn't about weight loss. Also, if you have a large volume of fat, the cost of treating it with Kybella is going to be prohibitive. Liposuction may be a better alternative.
Thank you foryour question uofm. Kybella isthe first and thus-far only FDA-approved non-surgical injectable treatment forthe double chin. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. Weight loss will also help improve the appearance of the double chin. But Kybella itself will not lead to weight loss. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Kybella will help permanently destroy the fat under the chin. However, Kybella is not a weight loss device and you will not lose weight in other areas. Best, Dr. Green
Good question! It is difficult to say with certainty how many treatments you would need without seeing you in person for a private consultation. In general, the cost of Kybella depends largely on the amount of fat the patient has, the number of treatments needed and the amount of product being...
It is perfectly safe and effective to lessen your submental fullness with Kybella while also treating other issues on your face with Botox or Xeomin (wrinkles) and/or hyaluronic-acid-based fillers (marionette lines). If using other injectables in the area of Kybella, I typically like to wait at...
Thank you for this question. After 3 treatments, I would expect to see an improvement as well. I suggest you post your before and after photos for a better evaluation. You should go in and discuss these concerns with your injector and have an exam of the area that is troubling you right now...
Thank you for this question. Swelling and numbness is normal. Some patients also rarely report difficulty swallowing. I suggest you speak with your injector and have an examination to be sure things are healing normally.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
I believe most offices would be willing to work with you to pay as you go. You can also consider financing with Care Credit.
Its not unusual to have some swelling, tenderness, and lumps under your chin post Kybella injection. This can persist up to 6 to 8 weeks. I would recommend waiting for your 2nd Kybella treatment after everything has settled down which it will over the next few weeks. Please follow up with y...
