Can under eye fillers migrate?

Hi @Skibunnyshop! Unfortunately, there is always a risk for filler migration. This sometimes occurs due to the depth the filler was placed. Luckily, this is easily fixed with Hylanex which dissolves the migrated filler.

Under eye fillers can cause chronic swelling and can definitely migrate to adjacent areas of the soft tissue, especially if they are injected near the bone.

All fillers can unfortunately migrate and under-eye filler can look like that after a migration. Fortunately, it can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase and filler can be reinjected in the area after 2 weeks

Hi there! Yes, under eye filler can migrate downward. When it does so, it can appear lumpy, full, or like a "sausage" in appearance. Softer products can be more favorable than thick and stiff products. Under eyes can be very tricky to get right. If the area appears unsightly, hyaluronidase is an enzyme which can be injected to dissolve the filler. Hope this helps!

The short answer is yes. All filler can migrate some. If the injections are not deep enough the filler can move and also cause a tiny pouch. Under eye filler in particular comes with many challenges. I like to address the upper face as a whole and not just focus on under the eye. Dealing with dark circles or the hollow that develops as you age is frustrating but it is an area that is front of mind for most people.
