I have a dent in my face from either loosing weight or collagen under my right eye. It only appears when I smile and is driving me crazy and making me not want to smile. Is this something that can be fixed with filler? I’ve included photos
Answer: It depends on your examination... Undereye skin is very delicate, and when lower eyelid grooves extend into midface depressions, fillers may be considered judiciously. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dermal Filler for Cheek dent. Hello RSP. You have a beautiful smile so don't stop smiling! If you do not have any filler place in the area under the eye or the cheek currently, then your best bet would be to find a quality injector near you that can soften the indentation with some dermal filler. In this area we prefer Restylane Contour, DeFyne or Lyft, but there are many products that can work. If you do have filler placed anywhere in this area, it's possible that the old filler is creating some of the problem. Best of luck.

Answer: Maybe Hi there! This is a great question. Unfortunately, the "dent" you are seeing is not all that rare. Sometimes, when filler is placed in the area under the eye (tear trough), or middle of the cheek, it causes what is called the zygomatic cutaneous ligament to sort of pop up, making the area beneath it appear indented. This can also happen naturally. If you feel this came up after having filler, the best course of action is to attempt to have that filler dissolved. This will often remedy the situation, and then you can try filling the under eye again, and hopefully the ligament is avoided. If it came up naturally, then you can have your injector fill the area beneath it very conservatively. You want the transition between the under eye and cheek to be smooth, but not bulky. From personal experience, I had this come up under both eyes, after having them filled. I never attempted to dissolve it and it is still there, nearly 10 years later; not as bad, but definitely there. I do feel that the degree of which I can see it depends on my weight, and most certainly the lighting and angle of pictures. I hope this information helps you make a decision on how to move forward. Good luck!

Answer: Can this dent in my face be fixed with under eye filler? Nice posted photos demonstrating unusual dent in medial tear trough. Any history to this or was it present as a child? I might under local anesthesia to sharply release the under dermis connections to deeper muscle/fascia than add micr fat grafts. Fee $3,000. Best to virtual consult with...
