Hi & thanks for your question. For optimal results you should be at a healthy stable weight. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best wishes!
Yes it seems like you would be a very good candidate for a mommy makeover. Depending on your examination sometimes you do need to lose more weight before surgery and I would discuss this specifically with your surgeon. You can get a tummy tuck and breast augmentation/lift at the same time and this is part of what people talk about when they use the term "mommy makeover". Of course, these procedures can be done separately though the cost is usually more. It is very common for women to want a mommy makeover, especially after having had children. Pregnancy definitely is hard on the abdominal and breast areas and this is a comment complaint among women visiting my office. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of mommy makeovers. Good luck with your future surgery!I hope my answer helped you and if it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right. Have a great day.
Most board certified plastic surgeons look for a BMI close to 30 to reduce the risks of complications during and after surgery and to enhance results of the procedures. A BMI of 35 (yours is 36.7) is probably the upper limit that a plastic surgeon would consider for a MM. You can reach a BMI of 30.1 by losing about 30 pounds. Consult with your PCP to discuss a weight reduction and exercise plan that will work for you.Reaching your goal weight and maintaining it for several months would enhance the results of the surgery. General rule of thumb is to be within 10 pounds of your weight goal and maintain a stable weight prior to surgery.
HiIn order to be safe for surgery, your BMI should be less than 30Your weight is 207 lb94 Kilo Height63 inch1.6 m BMI94/1.6x1.636.7To get BMI 30 your weight must be 169 lbs or less. That is do-able with keto diet. You should consult a dietitian for this. After you get this weight go and see a plastic surgeon for a consultation for mommy makeover. You can do it.Best wishesVictor Liu, MD
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. I think you could be a good candidate but, unfortunately, without the right pictures, it is very difficult to give you a proper answer. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.Good luck :)
Candybaby07I appreciate your concern and frustration, however you must lower your BMI to around 30 prior to considering Mommy Makeover surgery. Studies have shown much higher complication rates and poorer postoperative results in patients undergoing surgery with BMI over 30.To achieve the best possible result, try to lose as much weight as possible, and then maintain it before and after surgery. Check out the link below to an article I wrote about diet and exercise before plastic surgery. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Dear Candy baby, Thanks for posting your pictures. Your BMI is 37, so in my over 32 years of experience, for your own safety, you will have to get down to BMI of 35 or less, which for you means 195 pounds or less. When you reach that goal, I recommend to start with tummy that will help you to lose more weight due to the tightening of the abdominal muscles, which will reduce the amount of food that you can eat and your sense of hunger. I do not recommend to combine tummy tuck with large liposuction or breasts reduction, because of the significant increase in severe complications, by comparison to tummy tuck alone. All these surgeries are purely elective ( you want them , you do not have to have them ) and complication should be reduced to a minimum. Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Hello and thank you for your question. Your current BMI is 47, which too high. I would purse an aggressive weight loss program, or even consider weight loss surgery prior to any body contouring procedure. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Best,Pejman Aflaki, M.D.Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
Dear Candybaby07,Generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a mommy makeover, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. I think you will be a good candidate for a mommy makeover but would first continue your gym routine and dietary lifestyle modifications to lose weight. At your current BMI the risks of surgery, and the anticipated outcomes, do not justify pursuing a procedure at this time. Once your BMI is at a 30 or below level, preparations for your ideal outcomes can then be entertained. Hope this helps.
Hello, Thank you for sharing the information, it is a pleasure for me to answer your question. Definitely the most appropriate is to start (tummy tuck, liposuction and BBL can also be included), you are a candidate perfect, for the procedure, with this you can eliminate all localized fat...
I recommend beginning by speaking with the physician who treats your EDS. Discuss your desire for elective plastic surgery and potential risks related to your EDS. If given medical clearance by your physician you can then schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near y...
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on the loose skin on the abdomen, I would recommend an abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, to this area. Liposuction alone would only worsen the loose skin. An abdominoplasty would tighten the abdominal muscles as well as get rid of excess fat and skin. A...
