This depends on the opinion of your surgeon and primary care physician, based on your overall health and what you’d like to achieve. While it is possible, you may find that the recovery period to be quite intense.
Labiaplasty (The trim or wedge procedure takes about 1 hour to perform and the recovery is usually uneventful.) is frequently combined with vaginaplasty. The vaginal rejuvenation procedure can provide a solution to perceived laxity or looseness of the vagina experienced by the patient. It is a relatively short outpatient procedure aimed at tightening loose vaginal tissues with no visible scars. The TT, breast lift with fat transfer and lipo can be combined in healthy patients who are at a safe BMI by a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert at all of these procedures and can keep total surgical time under 6 hours. However this would depend upon the type of breast lift performed and the areas into which fat is injected. Fat graft take should always be optimized with the best blood supply available.
Combination procedures are safe and very effective in the right hands. The surgeon HAS to be an expert in EACH procedure and must have a lot of experience in performing combination procedures and can minimize the operative time. We work in a team and would take less time for the complete operation. This allows us to get better results with less surgical time and less trauma. Having 2 plastic surgeons during the procedure is a big advantage for cases like this as a two surgeon approach will bring down your surgical hours allowing us to do everything at once. This is a HUGE difference in preoperative risk and recovery.
Thanks for your inquiry, I would suggest delaying vaginal and labial procedures a few months after the tummy tuck and breast lift because of swelling and length of procedure, good luck.
Dear qtina3,I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Without pictures it is hard to give an opinion, but if you are in good health you may be a candidate for all the procedures you desire. Consult with a couple of board certified plastic surgeons to learn what options are available to you. Good luck.
Dear Tina, Posting your pictures would have been very helpful. Safety of surgery should be your main consideration in any surgery , but especially in cosmetic surgery, which is purely elective. You do not have to have it, but rather you want to have it ! Tummy tuck should be always your initial surgery, because it will have so many benefits to you: flat stomach, narrower waists, nice belly button, improved body posture and most likely you will lose significant amount of weight due to the abdominal muscles tightening that will reduce the amount of food that you can eat and your sense of hunger. You can combine the tummy tuck with breasts lift as long as the procedures do not surpass the 6 hours mark, since anesthesia complication increase significantly on lengthier surgeries. Also surgeon fatigue can result in less than optimal outcome. Tummy tuck and significant liposuction is not safe according to literature. In a recent article in the plastic surgery journal that was based on data from insurance company that covers cosmetic surgery only, it was revealed that combining tummy tuck and liposuction increases the severe complication rate, including death, X 10, in comparison to tummy tuck alone !!! "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who perform surgery in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery , to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with the above mentioned features and low abdominal scar. Going over the reviews is very helpful too. Best of luck, Dr Widder
gtina3Photographs would help, but it sounds like your particular desires for mommy makeover are reasonable and can be achieved in one sitting. The key is the ability of your surgeon to complete the task within six hours for surgery on an out patient basis, for safety reasons. Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon in our area for a full evaluation and exploration to the best options for you. Good luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you are in good health and can obtain medical clearance from your primary physician, then you may be able to safely combine these procedures. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Thank you for your question. Combining procedures is quite common. However, a surgeon must remain cognizant of the total time the patient remains under anesthesia. You mention several procedures that will likely take more time than it is safe in one go. Staging would be a safer approach in my opinion.
The fact that your surgeon went ahead to do your surgery knowing that your EKG was abnormal, probably means that you are OK for mommy makeover. However, conditions do change, and it is imperative that you have to be evaluated by a cardiologist who can decide whether you can have the...
Congratulations on your weight loss, and your children :) I would suggest you meet with an appropriately qualified plastic surgeon to determine what your main areas of concern are. Often a number of these areas can be addressed surgically at once, but this depends on a number of factors,...
