Post tummy tuck my private area is drastically different, will it ever go back? Is there anything I can do?

I'm about 5 months pp from a TT. I couldn't be happier with my results but one thing I am not happy about it the fact that my vagina has been pulled up. To put it simply, it looks stupid. The line/Labia is pulled so much higher. I had no visible labia before surgery and now it hangs out! The actual outer skin (not labia) vagina is pulled so high and tight, it looks to be about 3/4 of an inch pulled higher than where it originally was. Will it ever go back? What can I do ?

It is difficult to say what is causing the firmness you are describing.  Perhaps an old hematoma or fat necrosis?  I'd certainly discuss it with your surgeon.  I wish you the best,Dr. Gabbay.

Having had a bladder sling will not keep you from getting a tummy tuck. Find a board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation and get all your questions answered. Good luck!

Any more weight you lose is great and will help the final result. A cosmetic procedure is something you should want for yourself. While in my hands it usually is a 1.5 to 2 hour surgery there are still real risks involved. A consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is a great start....
