I had a breast augmentation around 2 1/2 months ago. 400cc HP under the muscle, inframammary incision. Received OK to workout at 6 wk f/u apt. Started out good, I stuck with only leg exercises and walking for awhile but my boobs wont let me advance. Ive even put that stupid strap on above my chest in an attempt for support. In high impact sports bras it still hurts (pressure) when i simply bend over or even jog. I have to hold my chest with my hands. Wondering if im being impatient or if this is normal?
Answer: Pain with working out after breast augmentation In most cases, discomfort while working out following a breast augmentation subsides 3 to 5 months following your surgery. I find that most women have some discomfort while doing high-intensity chest workouts in the first three months. This can be minimal or slightly more but almost always goes away with time. Always check with your surgeon to make sure things are healing normally

Answer: Pain with working out after breast augmentation At 2 ½ months after surgery there could be a lot of reasons for the pain, especially increasing exercise activity.I would recommend seeing your Plastic Surgeon and if everything appears normal to progress more slowly with exercise activity.

Answer: Pain with exercise after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing discomfort with exercise after the surgery. I generally advise my patients to use discomfort as a guide to how much they can do. I asked them to do stretching exercises to the point where it starts to feel uncomfortable and hold it there. With every week that passes you should be able to gain little more flexibility until you were back to your baseline. If you overdo it, you may cause some inflammation which may make it more painful to continue forward. In that case take a break for a few days and then try again. Also if this is persistent, to visit with your plastic surgeon, who can evaluate you for early signs of capsular contracture. Good luck.

Answer: Pain after Exercise First of all, listen to your body. We tell our patients to start slow and work up to more vigorous activities as your body is able to tolerate it. Depending on the amount of stretch placed on your chest muscles and how tight those muscle were prior to your surgery, there can be persistent discomfort during vigorous exercise several months following your procedure. I would encourage you to be patient and know that your symptoms will likely improve over the next several months. Consider wearing an additional second sports bra during the type of activities you describe to assist with providing additional support and wean yourself back down to one bra as you can tolerate it. If you feel like these symptoms are not improving over the next several months, make sure you let your plastic surgeon know about it. Best of luck to you.
