2.5 weeks ago I got a breast augmentation. My pregnancy test prior to the surgery was negative. I'm now 6 weeks pregnant and worried that my growing breasts will ruin the procedure and it won't heal properly.

Answer: Pregnancy after breast augmentation I have had this happen in a few of my patients as well. I find that the healing should not be significantly impacted. The breast augmentation result will be altered in some way as your breast will go through many changes over the next year. Some of my patients find that their result appears more natural after breast augmentation and pregnancy. You may want to consider using good support and keeping your breast (and abdominal) skin moisturized during this time to help the skin elasticity.Of course you will want to discuss this with your surgeon during your next follow up as well.Best wishes,Michael J.
