I am living overseas and consulted with a Dr. Regarding a brow lift. He said I would need a forehead reduction with a lift. I saw some pics. I dont want a bigger forehead, but i do want my brows slightly lifted along with my "11" lines fixed. Is his recommendation the right course? ( The incision line was purposley not a straigbt line, but rather jagged, which was curious)

Answer: What type of brow lift is best for a large forehead? Hello @Lindaw, thank you for your question. the specific type of brow lift that would be most suitable depends on several factors like physiognomy, patient expectations and what the specialist can do. A consultation is vital to develop a personalized surgical plan that will help achieve the desired outcome. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Forehead reduction is a great idea for you Based on the photos you have posted, you are a much better candidate for a trichophytic incision forehead reduction surgery than a combination forehead reduction/brow lift. Your brow position is actually quite good. Of course, if you really want a higher eyebrow position, that is your prerogative, but in my opinion, it will look slightly overdone. In the first photo you have posted, your eyes actually look a little droopy (eyelid ptosis), however in the second photo they seem more open. Maybe in the second photo you are using Upneeq? If the left photo is more representative of your appearance, then eyelid ptosis repair would be another option for your. However, if the left photo is more accurate (and you aren't using Upneeq to open the eyes), then no ptosis repair is needed. Be very selective with your surgeon choice. I've trained in South Korea...all surgeons are not equal there, so be careful with your choice. I've seen some really bad results...and some excellent results coming out of Gangnam, Seoul. Good luck!
