Better candidate for brow lift or upper blepharoplasty?

Thanks for your question. The important thing to understand is that the eyebrow and upper eyelids are very closely related. The changes that can happen due to ageing and some baseline appearance due to genetics may dictate which procedure is better for you.As you are relatively young you probably do not have much loss of collagen and skin deterioration yet. Of course it depends to your genetics and sun exposure, smoking etc. Some young people have genetically lower brow position and can benefit from a brow lift. It is difficult to decide without even seeing a photo of yours. A plastic surgeon consultation can determine which procedure is the best for you. I hope you find this explanation helpful.

As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In Caucasian women, a Browlift is usually better. If you raise your brows looking in the mirror and like that look, then a browlift is for you.. Photos would answer the question.

Hi there, a brow lift is typically better for patients with a low brow and minimal excess skin of the upper eyelids. If you have a lot of extra skin of the upper eyelids and it is touching or close to touching your eyelashes, then you may be a better candidate for upper blepharoplasty. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you an answer without any photographs, but if you are getting Botox every three months I would say a brow lift would be your best bet.

A full set of facial photographs are required to make a determination about two different surgical procedures. If you have low set brows, then a brow lift is necessary. If your brow position is adequate, and you have a hooded skin in the upper eyelids, then a blepharoplasty is indicated. An upper blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia, while a brow lift is performed under general anesthesia
