Hi, I have droopy eyes, more on one side than the other. I have a lot of skin under my eyebrows which I think causes the droop but I'm not sure if I need a brow lift or blepharoplasty. Could someone please give me advice on what procedure would help me more awake-looking eyes?
Answer: Brow lift vs blepharoplasty Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. From the photos it appears having a blepharoplasty would be the preferred choice. Your eyebrows are not low, so just removing a little skin is the correct treatment. See an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for consultation. Good luck,

Answer: Improving Hooded Eyelids -- Botox/Xeomin/Dysport/Jeuveau for Brow Lift, Fillers, RF (Thermage, Legacy, Viva), Blepharoplasty For significant improvement, hooded eyelids require surgery if there is enough skin. For nonsurgical treatments: Radiofrequency (Thermage or Venus Legacy/Viva), injectable fillers, and a Botox brow lift can help contour the eyebrows and lift the eyelid skin. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Blepharoplasty/brow lift Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos! It is difficult to tell from your photos and without examining you, but an upper blepharoplasty is a procedure that removes excess skin (and sometimes fat) from your upper eyelid area and can help give you a more refreshed, youthful look. Sometimes there are other causes of “droopy” or ptotic eyelids, so it is important to have a thorough exam with a fully trained plastic surgeon. A brow lift will raise your eyebrows, but would not remove extra skin or fat in your upper eyelid area. I perform these procedures as an outpatient surgery in our fully-accredited operating room under IV sedation.
