I'm interested in getting abdominal liposuction or lipo360 and a thigh lift. I've read that with a thigh lift, you should limit time walking and with liposuction you should try to walk more to prevent clotting. Would it make sense to do both procedures at the same time to reduce costs and total recovery time, or could this be problematic for recovery?
Answer: Lipo 360 with thigh lift These two procedures can definitely be done at the same time. Yes, it is important to be limiting activity after a thigh lift, but slow pace walking is completely fine. Going up and down stairs or any activity that involves fast pace or strain is what you want to avoid. This being said, getting up once an hour to walk around for 5-10 minutes is perfectly fine and exactly what we want to get the blood flowing and prevent any blood clots after Liposuction.

Answer: Combination of procedures Dear aces.14, I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others. Answer: LIPO AND THIGH LIFT Abdominal Liposuction What it addresses: Abdominal liposuction is designed to remove excess fat deposits from the abdomen, helping to improve the contour and create a flatter, more toned appearance. It is not a weight-loss procedure but rather a body-contouring one. How it's performed: Small incisions are made in the abdomen, and a thin tube called a cannula is inserted to suction out the fat. Different techniques exist, such as tumescent liposuction (where a solution is injected to help break up the fat), ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL), and laser-assisted liposuction (LAL). Ideal candidates: Individuals who are at a stable weight, have good skin elasticity, and have pockets of fat that don't respond to diet and exercise are typically good candidates. Recovery: Expect swelling, bruising, and discomfort for several days to weeks. You'll likely need to wear a compression garment. Results: Noticeable results are usually seen within a few months as swelling subsides. Thigh Lift (Thighplasty) What it addresses: A thigh lift removes excess skin and fat from the thighs, tightens the underlying tissues, and reshapes the thighs. It's often performed after significant weight loss or to address sagging due to aging. How it's performed: The procedure involves incisions on the inner or outer thighs (or both), depending on the areas being treated. The surgeon removes excess skin and fat and tightens the remaining skin. Different techniques include medial (inner) thigh lift, lateral (outer) thigh lift, and spiral thighplasty. Ideal candidates: People who have excess skin and sagging in their thighs, are at a stable weight, and are committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle are generally good candidates. Recovery: Recovery can take several weeks, with swelling, bruising, and potential for scarring. Results: Results are visible soon after surgery, with continued improvement as swelling resolves.

Answer: Multiple procedures Thank you for your inquiry! Those procedures can safely be performed together in one surgery. We recommend that as that would only be one time under anesthesia and one recovery. We would love to sit down with you in person, make sure you're a candidate for these procedures, and discuss your all your options. Schedule a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to assist you in reaching your goals!

Answer: Abdominal liposuction and thigh lift? Thanks so much for your question, Combining abdominal liposuction with a thigh lift can be an effective way to achieve a more balanced and sculpted appearance, especially for patients with excess skin and fat from weight loss or aging. However, there are challenges in terms of surgical time and recovery complexity. Each patient is different, so a thorough consultation and personalized approach are key to determining whether combining these two procedures is the best option. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol
