Can Botox and filler help with the horizontal line between my eyes? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. I do believe that you would benefit from Botox. The “11 Lines”, also known as “Glabellar Lines”, are the lines that appear between the eyebrows. They are the result of repeatedly furrowing your brow when you frown.  Botox relaxes the muscle that causes the  wrinkles.

A little filler such as radiesse which lasts about a year would help the horizontal groove between your eyes and it looks very natural.

Any of the neuromodulators — Botox, Dysport or Xeomin —  can smooth out horizontal wrinkles on the nose, commonly referred to as bunny lines. This may be the only treatment you need, although you might also benefit from a laser procedure and/or dermal fillers. I’d suggest going slowly, starting with bunny-line treatment, and see how you like the results. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert with neuromodulators.

The first step would be to inject Botox into this area to help decrease muscle action which is contributing to line formation. Botox is a protein that when injected into your facial muscles, reduces the muscle fibers capacity to contract. This process usually takes 5-7 days to take effect and can last for 3-4 months.  If the line has been there a long time, it may take a round or two of Botox until you see marked improvement.
If, after the Botox settles in there is still a residual crease,  fillers may be needed to help get the desired result.

It is best to always go to an experienced injector who can answer these questions!

The problem of horizontal lines (and vertical ones) in the scowl (frown) line regions is quite a common one in my experience and one that typically responds well to appropriate treatment. Botox (or Dysport or Xeomin) works well for the dynamic component, i.e. when the crease worsens with expression.  Fillers, such as Belotero Balance (which I would use for this in my NY practice or Princess Filler or Aliaxin FL, which I would use in my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers are available), can then be used to elevate and smoothe the residual static wrinkles (wrinkles at rest) that have become etched-in after years of daily use. Best to seek consultation and treatment by a board certified aethetic physician and be sure to ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.

your photograph, the best contour could be achieved with a combination of botox and fillers.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most

Botox alone can help to lift the horizontal line that you notice between your eyebrows.  It may take several treatments to get to that result.  Filler can be used if by chance the botox is not showing the improvement that you desire. It is best to see a doctor that is very familiar with the anatomy of that area for optimal outcome and prevention of complications. 

Yes, this can be improved with a combination of Botox and fillers with lasers and microneedling/prp. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

The horizontal line above your nose could be improved with Botox or Dysport but it would likely take a series of several treatments spaced 4 months apart.  By relaxing the muscle for an extended period of time it will begin to shrink or atrophy, minimizing the crease.  Filler below the crease can also soften the transition area.
