Botox for masseter muscle hypertrophy can be an effective treatment for this problem. If it is related to bruxism (teeth grinding), the botox may help decrease the effect of increased tension in these muscles, and over time, the muscles can return to a more normal size. It will take several treatments, and the treatments may be ongoing as long as the grinding occurs. Patients who have genetic (ethnic)hypertrophy can also improve in a similar fashion, but again, multiple treatments are necessary. The technique is performed typically over the muscle, and is relatively painless in most cases.
Thank you for your question. I am attaching a link to the american society of plastic surgeons website that will allow you to search for board-certified plastic surgeons in your area. It will give you a list of physicians based on their distance from your location. Hope that this helps.
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you have master hypertrophy, botox injections can be very helpful. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. BOTOX for the masseter muscles is a great way to improve upon and narrow the jawline. This is a relatively simple procedure that lasts. Most of my patients come every six months, at least in the first few years. Thereafter, some do opt for more permanent solutions with jaw narrowing surgery. I hope the videoing below is helpful to you. All the best from Boston,Dr. Onir
Masseter muscle injections can help reduce the size of the muscle. I warn patients that this is not a "one and done" procedure. It may take a series of injections every 3-4 months to see a difference.
Injection of the masseter is an excellent treatment for many reasons and there are many good injectors in your area. Be sure you see an experienced board certified dermatologist

Thank you for your question. No, Botox will not make your forehead grow bigger. Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. Thus, the injected muscle(s) can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften.
Thank you for your question. I don’t believe you have anything to worry about. However, I do recommend informing your injector. You can expect to see maximum effects of Botox in about 2 weeks. Best of Luck!
