Is it possible to use nostril retainers or dilators to significantly stretch the nostrils after an alarplasty made them too small? A doctor suggested it, and I’ve seen a couple of patients say they’ve gotten their nostrils to be bigger and stay that way through continued daily use for atleast 1 to 2 years.

Hi @nvtvyvlv! Based on your photos, you have thick nasal skin. You will most likely require cartilage grafting to achieve a more defined nasal tip. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for your question and for providing photos. It is possible for revision rhinoplasty to correct the concerns you have and improve the overall appearance of your nose. The size, shape, and symmetry can be adjusted, though cartilage grafts may be required to achieve an optimal result....
Possibly not. Depending on your examination microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered for permanently filling your nasal sidewall indentation. Potentially, it could be used to raise your bridge if it appears too scooped. Hope this helps you. Dr Joseph
