The tip of my nose is not defined after rhinoplasty, what can I do? (photos)

I received a rhinoplasty surgery in October 2020. I did receive a few steroid injections into my nose last year, I can not remember the amount but they were very small. I am just concerned about how my nose tip isn't defined and that it is looking a bit wide. Should I receive the steroid injections again?

Thank you for your question and for provisioning photos. While your rhinoplasty results appear favorable, a revision procedure can be performed to define the nasal tip. If you have thick nasal skin, further definition may require cartilage grafting to achieve the desired result. Keep in mind that each subsequent nose surgery becomes more complex due to loss of structural support, scar tissue, and other factors. The importance of experience, expertise, and artistry cannot be overstated. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to review your surgical history and determine the best approach to help you reach your aesthetic goals.

Good Morning! If you're almost 2 years post rhinoplasty, your results have largely settled in most cases. Steroid injections can help. Taping and compressions are also complementary to achieve improved definition. If you still feel like your nose is too wide, you may need a revision procedure. The procedure would involve narrowing the tip likely with cartilage grafting. I would revisit with your prior surgeon if you're comfortable. If not, consider another opinion to learn what may be best for you. Good luck!

Based on your pleasing nasal appearance, I would say live with your tip unless you're extremely dissatisfied. You appear to have thicker nasal skin, and achieving tip definition may require cartilage grafting, and the feasibility of this with revision surgery would require an examination.
