Great question. A quality lip lift is done by supporting the lip with deep sutures, which provide majority of the support during the first couple of months. These will hold against everyday forces of movements, but not excessive ones. Kissing (passionately) creates movement in the area of surgery and should be avoiding for at least 6 weeks. We want to give the body a chance to heal enough to give some of it’s own support. The longer you wait, the more strength there is in the area of incision and less chance of creating a problem. I have my patients stop topical creams (ie Tretnoin) 1 week prior to surgery. Hope this helps.
It's best to follow your surgeon's post-operative instructions regarding kissing after a lip lift, as healing times can vary (the healing time associated with my 3D lip lift is usually very quick, as an example). Regarding tretinoin, you should typically stop using it at least a week before the surgery to minimize skin irritation and potential complications. Best of luck !
From the pictures I see, and your self described philanturm that is 15mm, I would say that you can be a good candidate for a Lip Lift. This procedure will also help show more incisors when smiling but will also give the upper lip more of a tilt which will help the lip appear more full.

Hello, hope you are well. The result from your subnasal lip lift is good, but there is room for improvement exactly as you suggest. I would recommend a corner lip lift to address the corners of the mouth. This is a very straightforward procedure that can be done under local anesthesia. In...
You would be an excellent candidate for a 3D upper lip lift (an enhanced version of the traditional lip lift), as well as a medialized corner lip lift (the only procedure capable of lifting the sides of your upper lip).

A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. You would be a good candidate for a lip lift. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
