I am sorry you did not receive the results you hoped for from your Ultherapy treatment. I can’t tell exactly what happened without seeing your pre-Ulthera photo, but I’m guessing you are noting the loose skin near your jowls. Skin rejuvenation needs a customized combination approach. The loose skin I see may benefit best from the Silhouette InstaLift and/or fillers to the upper lateral face. This can be seen on my Instagram @drkimberlybutterwick. At this point, I strongly recommend that you find an experienced, board-certified dermatologist who can perform a comprehensive examination in person to determine what your specific needs might be. From that initial consultation, you can develop a treatment plan that will work best for you.
I'm so sorry that your expectations and results are not were you would like them to be. Thank you for your photo however, it's difficult not having your before and after pictures at rest. Seeing all angles on the before and after pictures will help determine what could have gone wrong. Ultherapy treatments are micro-focused controlled heat to help stimulate collagen and elasticity that should Always improve the skin condition. Also be sure to wait 3 to 6 months for full results. If you find yourself with severe laxity you may want to try the Y-Lift or the profound to give you more of dramatic results that you will love. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you did not achieve the results you desired. It is hard to say from the picture what would be the best solution for you. I would recommend scheduling an appointment with an experienced physician to evaluate the situation and provide the best treatment option to correct the matter. All the best
Hi sire,I am sorry to hear of your adverse event. You may consult with a facial volume replacement expert such as Arthur Swift, MD in Montreal. I perform all Ulthera treatments on my patients because I believe that it is user dependent. I was one of the first Ultherapy users, have done over a thousand treatments, and fortunately have not seen the severe fat loss that patients rarely report. Unfortunately many practices delegate Ultherapy to ancillary staff who may not have much experience in avoiding over-treatment of the wrong areas that could result in volume loss. There are some "counterfeit" Ulthera devices or machines from overseas that are cheap replicas. Lastly, there are some practices that may purchase used refurbished Ulthera one use disposable tips that may be defective. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
May we please see your Before photos and (6 month) After photos, with no expression on your face, same lighting and background to know what has changed? It is not obvious. Also, if you had the procedure within the past couple weeks, you might have some swelling that can distort the tissues. In our office, we have had great success with Ultherapy, so I am curious to know what, specifically, you are concerned about.
The picture is hard to see what you are referring to only since it is not a picture where you are resting without expression. When any patient contracts muscles in their face their skin can look like that. This is why before and after photos are so important before receiving treatment. Do you have photos from before you were treated? Also, do you have before and after photos of you making the same exact expression?I would suggest returning to the doctor who performed the treatment and comparing old and new photos, pre and post treatment to have a better understanding on what exactly is going on.
Sorry to hear about your result. It would be helpful to see a before photo, to see exactly what has happened. If it is volume related, consider facial fat grafting. Best of luck, Dr. M
