I always advise my patients not to engage in 'strenuous exercise' for 6 weeks after surgery. Playing video games is apparently creating the same physiologic response as one would experience with exercise. My recommendation discontinue video games for 3 weeks after your surgery and after this progess gradually so that at 6 weeks you are back to normal with no restricitons.
