I recently got butt implants but I’d like volume in my hips and more of a shelf. Is it possible to get a BBL considering have butt implants? What are the changes of me getting a BBL and then getting an infection and then having to take the implants out? What are the risks? How long would I have to wait to get a BBL after getting buttock implants? 6 months or more? Is it safe? What if the surgeon doing the BBL hits the implants when trying to inject the fat? Is it possible to ruin the implant?
Answer: Can you get BBL after butt implants? What are the risks? How long would I have to wait to get a BBL after getting butt implants? Hello and thanks for your question. In general, most patients can safely undergo a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) after receiving butt implants. Your surgeon will need to avoid the implants during the procedure, but a board-certified and experienced plastic surgeon shouldn’t have any issue doing so. Infection is always a risk with any type of procedure, but a qualified surgeon will take all necessary precautions to limit risks of any kind. You should plan on waiting at least six months before undergoing your BBL following your butt implant procedure. Your board-certified plastic surgeon will be able to create a personalized timeline for you during an in-person consultation. They will also be able to answer any other questions you may have and determine if you are a good candidate for a BBL. Best of luck!

Answer: Hybrid gluteal augmentation This is a great question thank you!Fat grafting can be safely combined with gluteal implant placement either in a single stage or in two separate procedures. Implants are usually placed inside the gluteus major muscle, while fat is safely injected in the subcutaneous tissue, avoiding the risk of puncturing the implants. It is usually recommended that patients wait at least six months between procedures to allow swelling to resolve and all scar tissue to settle.

Answer: Fat transfer after gluteal implants You could have fat transfer after gluteal implants. There would be a small risk of the implants becoming infected. Ideally, no fat would be injected into or around the implant, especially if your needs are more lateral. See a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation to get more information.

Answer: BBL after buttock implants? Hi and welcome to our forum!Fat grafting to the buttocks can be performed after previous placement of buttock implants. As the implants are made of sold silicone rubber and not a gel, there is no risk of puncture damage. There is theoretic increased infection risk as fat transfer involves manipulation of the fat outside of the body, which is then injected into the proximity of the previously placed buttock implant. If the buttock implants are subfascial or submuscular, they are in a totally separate plane, and the increased risk is negligible. The operator must be aware of the presence of the previous implants to ensure superficial placement. It is best to wait at least 6 12 months before contemplating BBL to allow for subsidence of swelling and the hypervascularity of healing.Seek evaluation form a board certified plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
