Age 30, BMI 25%, should I liposuction my mons pubis & hips before tummy tuck? (Photos)

You should always get the tummy tuck first to tighten the skin, then get the lipo to refine the contour. Doing it in reverse has several disadvantages that include:
1) You will create scar tissue from liposuction which makes the tummy tuck much harder and more complicated to do.
2) Will not allow you to fine tune your contour when you do the tummy tuck second, because you cannot lipo at the same time.
3) You cannot remove the fat maximally when you have loose skin, so you will get a mediocore liposuction if you do it before the tummy tuck.
Optimal plan is to do the tummy tuck first to tighten up your skin, then come around with lipo for the second round to refine and remove fat maximally and unveil natural shadows and muscle highlights.

Hello @Mgo337, thank you for your question. When addressing a single treatment plan that includes liposuction and tummy tuck, it is best to discuss both options with your surgeon. Liposuction of the mons pubis, hips, and stomach (the latter possibly including a BBL) can be done together with a tummy tuck, for me is the best approach. However, there are some important considerations to make. it is important to note that having liposuction alone without an abdominoplasty won't get rid of excess skin - this needs to be kept in mind when considering only liposuction as part of the initial treatment plan and the prognosis of that surgery, how it will evolve.
In consultation, your surgeon can tell you if liposuction can reduce excess fat in areas such as the mons pubis because liposuction does not solve sagging or loose skin. The operative approach needs careful consideration respecting your particular case. Bear in mind that while you may benefit from getting procedures done at separate times some surgeons might still recommend combining them into 1 surgical session due to potential aesthetic advantages. You could consider liposuction of your love handles now if you want a smaller treatment than tummy tuck at the present time, however I would not recommend liposuction of your mons or abdomen.
The love handles extend onto your back, and are a separate area than your abdomen.
You won't notice any result having liposuction to your mons or abdomen because the skin is too loose in these areas and so it is not worth paying for this or recovering from this. I recommend that if you want to address the mons and abdomen you have a tummy tuck and at that time the mons can be addressed with liposuction and tightening the skin when the abdominal skin is tightened.
You can also wait and have the love handle liposuction if and when you do a tummy tuck. That way you only have one recovery.
