I have 375cc smooth round implants with a lift in June 2017. I started a large b/small c. I went with a full anchor lift because I didn’t want my breasts resting on my abdomen or ribs. To me my breasts now look “off.” They seem too low and my nipples too high. I went back to my surgeon to let him know and he thinks they look amazing. I dislike my breasts now more than I did before surgery. I thought they would grow on me as the scars fade and they are not.
Answer: Results after combined implant and breast lift Thanks for your question. Combining an implant with a lift is a difficult surgery and associated with higher revision rates. This is particularly the case with larger implants and in breasts with poor skin elasticity. I would recommend removing an inferior wedge of skin and breast tissue to shorten the distance from your nipple to the crease. I might also consider adding fat to the upper pole. Downsizing your implant will probably give you the best outcome both short and long term. Best of Luck!

Answer: Pseudo-ptosis Hello,This is called "pseudo-ptosis" because it isn't true breast ptosis but essentially means there is too much tissue on the inferior aspect. The basic way to correct would be to excise more skin and tissue inferiorly. I recommend getting an in-person consult with a board certified plastic surgeon so he/she can talk to you about the options. All the best!Dr. BlaggAustin, TX

Answer: Too high Too Low? Thanks for this question. Your breast lower pole has over-stretched due to the smooth implants and their weight. Your nipple position does not appear too high, but must be examined and measured to confirm. I suggest you see your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Breast lift with high nipples I think your nipple position is good, but your implants and breast tissue are too low. This can be corrected by re positioning the breast and implant higher, but it may take internal support to keep it there. I would see a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss the options.

Answer: Bottoming Out After Breast Lift You have pseudoptosis, or bottoming out of your implants. This comes from the weight of the implant stretching out the lower breast and results in a seemingly "high" nipple, low implant, and loss of upper fullness of the breast. the fix for this involves re positioning the implants and some maneuver to help prevent it from happening again. Get a few opinions, as this is one of the more challenging problems in plastic surgery.

Answer: Breast Changes after Surgery Hello and thank you for your question. Your photos are very helpful. After reviewing your images you have what is known as pseudo-– ptosis. This can occur after a prior breast augmentation or a breast augmentation with a breast lift. Based on your images and description, you have a history of a breast lift with augmentation which increases the chance of the implants drifting downward and stretching the lower pole of the breast skin. The only way to truly correct this condition would be to perform a revision breast lift with or without changing the breast implants. This would improve the position of the implants on the chest and place the nipples on the most projecting portion of the breast were they belong. I would be happy to see you in consultation in Miami.Alexander Zuriarrain, MD Cleveland Clinic Trained Plastic Surgeon Miami, FL
