Good question. Personally, I prefer 4 pictures from my patients. (front view, right side, left side, and nostril view). For best results take your pictures in a bright environment, in front of a single color background (no wallpaper), the camera should be perpendicular to the face and it should be 3 feet away. Photos should not be selfies, taken in portrait orientation and in color. For women, it's better for hair to be tied back. Best wishes.
Hello @sweet_lavendar, thank you for your question. Take the photos with a good resolution digital camera, with a white or cream or solid background that is not red. Ideally, the photo should be taken in natural light and at a distance of one meter from the front and profile. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
Here are some tips for optimizing your rhinoplasty photos:- adequate lighting from the direction of the camera- same facial expression in all photos- make sure to turn your face a full 90 degrees between frontal and profile views- for oblique views it may be helpful to have the same angle of rotation, you can do this by turning your head towards two equidistant room corners on opposite sides of have your photographer ensure the tip of your nose is at the same point on your cheek on each side when you turn- make sure your chin is at the same angle in all photos- the camera should be at the same level as your face- if using a modern iPhone, the 2x zoom provides the least distortion when used within a few feetBest of luck!!
There are standards for cosmetic surgery photography. The The American Society of Plastic Surgeons have a booklet for sale on these standards. I wish Realself can post these standards. No blacking out of any part of the face or any part of the picture. Blacking out the eyes and half of the nose is not acceptable and usually I do not look at it to answer.Best to have another person take the phograph. Selfies tend to be tilted and not straight and symmetricalFace and nose pictures should be from the top of the head to the mid neck. Straight frontal view, lateral profile and 3/4 view and with head tilted back to show the nostrils. Closeup views only to evaluate a specific lesion, or detail of a specific problem along with the above photographs.
Hi there! Rhinoplasty morphing is most effectively done in a clinic with proper software such as Mirror or Uniplast. Most rhinoplasty surgeons have a studio with proper lighting and positioning to achieve excellent photos. There are certain angles and dimensions which need to be followed to ensure standardization. There are apps on the iPhone to perform your own morphing, though I wouldn't place much weight in them given the limitations. If you're serious about accurate morphing, seek consultation with a facial plastic surgeon who routinely morphs photos taken in clinic. Hope this helps.
Of course, supplements will help. However, the method your doctor chooses during the surgery will affect the level of your bruising. For example, if the ultrasonic piezo instrument is used, there will be almost no bruising on your face.
Hello there! There are options to treat the discoloration. If you haven't tried IPL, that's a great option especially for shades of red and pink. This can easily be done in clinic with minimal downtown. Multiple treatments are usually required, but this is one place I often start. If...
Hi @newlook7936. Thank you for sharing your photos. You are an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. I recommend seeing an expert rhinoplasty specialist for an in person examination. There are several options for you that can be determined after examination. Best of luck, Dr. Nima
