Skin discoloration still present after lazer treatment 18 months post rhinoplasty - opinions? (photos)

Question

-18 months after rhinoplasty - Noticed discloration starting around 9 months post surgery, seems to have gotten worse. - I did have a few small broken capillaries there from a prior injury even before my rhinoplasty, however it was hardly noticeable - I've had 4 lazer treatments, which did nothing or perhaps made it worse :( - I also tried a minor filler injection bc I was unhappy with the 'notch' on one side. This also didn't seem to help What are my options?

Hello there! There are options to treat the discoloration. If you haven't tried IPL, that's a great option especially for shades of red and pink. This can easily be done in clinic with minimal downtown. Multiple treatments are usually required, but this is one place I often start. If inflammation is the cause, it's important to rule out a chronic infection. If no infection, a steroid could be used though I'd be very careful not to create any divoting. Sometimes, a referral to a Dermatologist may really help clear things up. Hope this helps you out!
