I feel like my nose is very round, fat an bulbous, looking for any Input and advice on the best way to proceed to get a more defined tip? Is this a complicated procedure ? Do you think what I want achievable ?
Answer: Tip Rhinoplasty Hi and thanks for the question! What you are looking for is a tip rhinoplasty. Specifically this will help reshape and reposition your lower lateral cartilages. It would be difficult to get your nose to look exactly like the one in your 'what I would like' photo but I would expect you could see a very significant improvement to the tip bulbosity by having a tip rhinoplasty performed. It is difficult to see the rest of your nose to see if any work would be required on the other parts of your nose, but for the tip different options would be cephalic trims, cephalic turn-in flaps, lateral crural repositioning, and lateral crural extension grafts to help shape and reposition the cartilages in your nasal tip causing the bulbous appearance. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.
