Hi, I had a mini tummy tuck 4 months ago. Since day one I have been concerned with what appears to be 2 pouches of fat on either side of my belly button. I had hoped that it was just odd swelling but the problem has gotten even worse as time has went on. It looks like bull dog jowels to me. Also there is fullness above my belly button. My doctor brushes me off when I ask about it and says I am too picky. I am not pleased with this result. Does it look like I need those areas liposuctioned?

In a tummy tuck the excess abdominal skin is pulled down. Swelling can sometimes make the appearance of the mons change temporarily. If requested the surgeon can address the mons area during a tummy tuck. I encourage to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.
To revise the skin above the belly button, the float cannot be done because of the risk of cutting off too much circulation to your belly button. You will have to choose one or the other.
Yes bruising is common after liposuction. Arnica cream may help it resolve more quickly. Be sure to closely follow your surgeon's instructions and keep her/him informed of any concerns.
