Hi, I had a mini tummy tuck 4 months ago. Since day one I have been concerned with what appears to be 2 pouches of fat on either side of my belly button. I had hoped that it was just odd swelling but the problem has gotten even worse as time has went on. It looks like bull dog jowels to me. Also there is fullness above my belly button. My doctor brushes me off when I ask about it and says I am too picky. I am not pleased with this result. Does it look like I need those areas liposuctioned?

Answer: Mini tummy tuck Hi, Thank you for your post. I am sorry that you are unhappy with your results. At 4 months out you should have a good idea of what the end results will be. I would recommend setting up a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to see what your options are. Often a full tummy tuck is needed to see the results that you are looking for.

Answer: How to improve mini tummy tuck results Unfortunately your pre-op pictures shows an in between condition: not enough elastic skin above the belly button for a full tummy tuck, but a bit too much in the lower abdomen for a great result from a mini. My guess is that you could have the lower area tightened up a little bit, or maybe enhanced with some lipo under local anesthesia. That cannot be determined from a photo. You may get some improvement in the fullness above the belly button from an umbilical float but probably not dramatic.
