Acne scars aren't deep at all.
Answer: LaseMD is great for minimizing appearance of large pores and acne scarring Acne scars are usually characterized within the subtypes of atrophic, hypertrophic, pigmented, or inflammatory. These subtypes of acne scars can be visually discerning in ambient light and can cause significant cosmetic concerns. Indented and atrophic scars require a combination approach to stimulate collagen and elastin, thereby smoothing contour and uneven skin. These are usually combined with lasers and depigmentation protocols to reduce inflammatory hyperpigmentation (Melarase AM and Melarase PM). Our Hidef protocols for acne scars include fillers such as Sculptra, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Restylane to improve deep acne scars; Vascular lasers to reduce inflammation and post-inflammatory redness and erythema; Fractional lasers to smooth contour and collagen; and Fractional RF to stimulate production of collagen within atrophic scars. Textural improvement and superficial scarring can be improved with Cosmelan peels, TCA Cross for ice-pick scars, deep chemical peels, and fractional CO2. We offer a personalized approach to your combination of scars and a formal evaluation with consultation is recommended to help you achieve your final results. Our plastic surgery office offers subcision and combination TCA Cross to help reduce deeply pitted scars. In terms of pigmentation and skin resonance, we recommend daily use of Melarase AM and Melarase PM coupled with Retinoid creams to achieve brilliant skin. Answer: Acne Scar Correction Methods Hello Ansleyvb,Thank you for submitting your question. Depending on the orientation of the scar there are a number of different methods, sometimes combinational methods are necessary for correction of scars. Scar Mapping is deal but I would say ProFractional would be best suited for those experiencing deep, structured scar, or surgical method such as a subcision puncture. MicroNeedling is a wonderful treatment, especially since you mentioned that your scars are not deep. MicroNeedling creates tiny, pin point injuries to the skin. The body then goes through a chemical change, resulting in collagen stimulation, filling the scars, plumping the skin creating a smoother surface as well as thickening up the epidermis, resulting stronger, resilient skin. Best to have a consultation with a service provider near you.

Answer: Halo laser for acne scars HALO laser is excellent for pore reduction and mild to moderate acne scarring. You will see a difference in your skin within days and it will continue to improve over time due to the hybrid nature of HALO laser. (It treats superficial and deep at the same time). I would recommend it over ProFractional.

Answer: Acne scars Thanks for the great question! Although Halo can work well on acne scars, protraction tends to work even better especially on deeper scars. During your consultation your doctor should be able to advise you on which machine will be best for your type of scars. Best,~Dr. Sieber

Answer: Profractional laser for acne scars Profractional laser is the best option to be used when wanting to improve your acne scars. You will require multiple treatments and you will see a huge improvement. You may also require a subcision or filler to the area depending on the type of scars you have.
