HI, I assume this was on the face, if it was, this is too long for these issues to be occurring and I would recommend your provider to take a look.  If it was on the neck or chest (off the face) the healing can be delayed, but typically not this long, but sometimes yes.

Hi, I wouldn't recommend anything before your HALO except sunscreen and sun avoidance as well as hydration.  Stop any retinoids a week before treatment, avoid any peels and dermabrasion for a month before to minimize any risks associated with laser treatment.
