I had a breast reduction in 2022 but did not opt to receive lipo. For reference I’m 5’9 was 220 lbs at the time of my reduction I’ve since gained 15 lbs am in the process of losing weight. Anyway here it is 2 years later and I really wish I would’ve gotten the liposuction, I’m happy with my breast size but the process seems incomplete because of the remaining fat. I hate the way my side boobs or side chest looks. How hard would it be to address?
Answer: Side boob/chest lipo Dear Gorgeous996515, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Liposuction after breast reduction Hello and thank you for your question. While it is difficult to make a specific recommendation without physical examination, the lateral chest/axillary region is often treated effectively with liposuction. There are advantages to doing liposuction at the time of breast reduction ( one procedure, one recovery, etc.), but you can still get nice results if liposuction is done secondarily. To optimize your outcome , you should continue with your weight loss program and wait to do the procedure until after you've reached your goal weight. Good luck. I hope this helps.

Answer: Side boob/chest lipo? Thanks so much for your inquire, Liposuction is the most effective way to remove excess fat and smooth the side breast/chest area. Since you’re in the process of losing weight, you might see some improvement naturally. However, weight loss alone won’t always target stubborn fat in the side boob area—that’s where lipo can help refine the shape. Since you’re happy with your breast size, a quick lipo procedure could complete your results and help your chest/side profile look more sculpted. You might want to consult a surgeon to discuss options Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: Yes Yes, liposuction can be an effective solution to address the "side boob" or chest fat that remains after a breast reduction. This is a common concern, and liposuction of the lateral chest, underarm (axillary area), and "bra line" can help improve the contour and eliminate the excess fat in these areas. We commonly perform liposuction in combination with breast surgery for this reason. Liposuction can significantly refine the shape of the breast and upper chest region. However, keep in mind that while liposuction can remove excess fat, it cannot address issues like skin laxity. If loose skin is present, additional procedures such as skin tightening or skin removal may be necessary. Since you’re still in the process of losing weight, it's often recommended to reach your goal weight before undergoing liposuction to ensure the most stable and lasting results. Consulting with an experienced plastic surgeon will allow for a customized plan to address your concerns and ensure the best outcome.
