Is it safe to get Botox and then start taking Neomycin & Xifaxin antibiotics soon after Botox injections?

I'm scheduled to get Botox in 2 wks. I'm also scheduled to take a SIBO test soon, but test result may not be ready until AFTER I get Botox. If I am positive, I will likely need to go on both Neomycin & Xifaxin antibiotics. I heard at least Neomycin (not sure about Xifaxin) is unsafe to take with Botox. Is it safe to get Botox with the chance that I may need to start taking Neomycin & Xifaxin shortly after getting Botox? If not, how long after getting Botox should I wait to start antibiotics?

It is fine to begin taking your medications after a Botox treatment.  With regard to antibiotics, it is recommended that those with an active infection which may involve the patient taking antibiotics, wait until the infection has resolved and treatment is completed before having a Botox treatment.

There is no issue with receiving Botox or any other botulinum toxin near the time of neomycin or ampicillin. Your dermatologist can answer this and other challenging questions, hence the importance of having a great relationship with a skilled and highly trained physician, and not just a beauty bar "injector."
