Do most doctors anchor the lip skin to the septal cartilage, or is it usually anchored some other way, or maybe not anchored it at all sometimes? And my other question is, is there ever a reason not to do a lip lift in someone with a very long philtrum of say 20 mm? In other words, what would be the reasons (aesthetic reasons or physical reasons) that a lip lift would not be appropriate for someone with a long philtrum due to aging?
