Hello, hope you are well. In your photos you shortened the philtrum and increased the portion of vermilion lip that is showing. I would recommend a conservative lip lift and augmentation of the upper lip. There are disadvantages to the V-Y technique--primarily the inability to shorten the philtrum, and the healing process will feel more prolonged (swelling, stiffness, etc).

Based on your picture, you would be a great candidate for a lower V-Y, a medialized external corner lip lift (a lip lift only cannot achieve that look alone. This surgery not only elevates the corners of the mouth, but increases the red lip visible on either end of the upper lip ) and my special 3D lip lift (it is an ameliorated version of the traditional lip lift, resulting in a better outcome and less scarring) which should give you the outcome you aim for.

A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. You would be a good candidate for a lip lift.
