I am trying to get a bbl and have MS, thankfully my primary neurologist has given me medical clearance, so I was looking for doctors in Miami but my first pick doctor won't consider me for surgery because of me this. So I was wondering if there's any doctor that would even consider seeing me for a consultation or will I unfortunately encounter this problem a lot ?
Answer: BBL candidate Dear prissabun, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Can I get a BBL with MS ? Some patients with more advanced disease may need clearance from a neurologist or may not be candidates for surgery. In most patients with MS, surgery with general anesthesia is well tolerated.

Answer: Can I get a BBL with MS ? Yes!!!! There are only very few private practice boarded PSs in USA willing to offer lipo 360/BBL in patients with MS. I am one of them, BTW. Most if not all clinic based surgeons, or chop shop surgeons, will not accept patients with any medical issues, as you have. See messages sent, please

Answer: BBL Consultation Granted you have been given medical clearance by your neurologist, a BBL performed by a professional and experienced surgeon should not present an issue. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: BBL with multiple sclerosis. If you have medical clearance then you should be able to get the procedure. I suggest you stay local for elective surgical procedures unless there is no talent in your community they can properly do this procedure for you. Continue scheduling consultations until you find a provider who’s willing to do the procedure that you feel comfortable with. Delivering consistent high-quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. This includes providers. In order to get a high-quality outcome and minimize the chance of having a regretful outcome that cannot be corrected I suggest patients make a solid effort at finding the most talented an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon in their community for this procedure. That generally requires scheduling numerous consultations so at that time you’ll get a chance to hear firsthand how each person feels about your medical history and why this may or may not be an issue. Multiple sclerosis has a very large spectrum of limitations and early stage disease should not present a particular problem but late stage disease would probably be a contraindication. Not everybody is a great candidate for the procedure so there are multiple things that need to be reviewed before moving forward. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
