Doctors all around miami are denying me a bbl because on the questionare portion , a question asks “have you had previous butt injections?” I dont want to lie so i said yes and then they tell me im no longer a candidate for a bbl . I would understand if it was silicone injections but theyre not . Will it forever be in my body ? A bbl surgeon told me if i lied about butt injections on my questionare , he would be able to tell while doing the lipo . and if he finds small beads or something hell know not to inject the fat back in and will just continue with lipo only . i thought sculptra dissolved on its own over time . will i never be able to get a bbl now ? doctors in LA says yes but best surgeons are in Miami and they tell me no :( or do i just need to have them examine me ?
Answer: Sculptra before a BBL Thanks for your question. Sculptra has been approved by the FDA for lipoatrophy and essentially is a collagen stimulator using polylactic acid. I think the refusal by certain plastic surgeons is simply based off of surgeons choice. It can make injection of fat into the area a bit more difficult, you may be more fibrotic in those areas creating more resistance. Which will then lead the surgeon to use a greater force on the cannula. This is already in a dangerous area and any additional challenges such as fibrotic tissue may make it difficult and add increase risk for surgery. I would make sure your plastic surgeon has many years and frequent BBL surgeries. Speak to them and see their opinion on the matter.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear vayala105, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, previous butt injections are a contraindication for surgery. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Can I get a bbl after having one session of sculptra done two years ago? Is sculptra considered a biopolymer? You are so incorrect! I am in Miami. I offer composite BBL, both fat & Sculptra injections. Sculptra is poly lactic acid a natural occurring chemical that is a bio stimulator, make your tissue grow. Best to virtual Fees are determined by amount of Sculptra vials needed. So though there are only a handful of boarded Plastic Surgeons offering surgery upon patients like you, I am one of them......

Answer: Sculptra Injections and Brazilian Butt Lift Based on your history, you would benefit from having a Safe California Ultrasound Assisted Buttock Augmentation (SCUBA). SCUBA allows for the safe transfer of fat by allowing me to visualize your injection sites while simultaneously minimizing risk of a potentially detrimental fat emboli. If you are a good candidate (less than 5L of fat) for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD,FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Polylactic acid injections and getting a BBL Polylactic acid is a type of plastic that when used as an injectable in the form of Sculptra slowly breaks down over a couple of years. It integrates very well with tissues and while it does cause an inflammatory response that then causes more collagen to form it typically does not create an excessive amount of scar tissue or other problems that should prevent someone from having a successful fat transfer. because it incorporates so well and is bioc compatible it does not have the negative problems associated with other injected substances such as silicon. To state that one city has more talented providers than other cities is unfounded. There’s no question that providers who do a single procedure more often tend to get better at it and there are a lot more BBL‘s done in Miami than in other cities. I can assure you that Miami has a full spectrum of talent just like every community does. Defined a talented provider most people rely on the Internet and the Internet is not accurate and deciphering plastic surgery talent. Often the most talented providers have very little Internet presents, do not engage in social media and do not advertise. Typically providers who don’t have full schedules or are driven exclusively by financial gain have the opposite. I assure you there are plenty of talented providers in every community and there is no shortage in Southern California. Personally I do not recommend patients travel long distances for elective surgical procedures. People often do not appreciate the importance of having numerous in person consultations before deciding to have surgery, understanding the importance of postoperative visits, the number of patients who have serious issues after surgery, need revisions or that complications actually happen. Defined a talented provider and have a quality outcome I suggest staying local and scheduling multiple in person consultations. During each consultation ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures especially asking to see their best outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes. At that time you can also talk about your medical history and see what each provider has to say first hand. It’s a free world and patients have the right to choose providers and likewise providers have the right to select patients. If the Miami plastic surgeons are not willing to take you because you had Sculptra injections then that tells you something about those providers. I suggest relying on in person consultations and staying local. With due diligence you should be able to find someone who can deliver quality results and be willing to work with you. Good luck, Mats Hagstrom MD
