Why can I do about my suture abscess hole (Photos)

Question

I had a second breast lift and augmentation 7 and a half weeks ago. The first one was 2 years ago and I healed wonderfully. This time, 6 weeks post op I noticed one of my breast had oozing right in the middle of my vertical incision line. I've harassed my PS 's office in hysteria and they have been super awesome and helpful. Apparently, I'm spitting sutures. Why is this happening and when will it stop? When will this close?

in surgery like a breast lift we use many absorbable sutures.  These sutures dissolve by being "eaten" by your body under the skin.  The process of "eating" is inflammation.  Unfortunately, in some circumstances the inflammation causes the sutures to be forced out through the skin.  In this case, sometimes the plastic surgeon needs to remove the sutures in order to speed along the healing.  There is nothing you can do to stop the process, but make sure you see your plastic surgeon.

regarding the appearance of your breasts after your surgery.  Generally
speaking, these types of wound healing issues tend to be, fortunately,
relatively minor and due to tend on their own with time.  You may be
surprised over time how much the appearance of this improves.  Be sure and
discuss with your board-certified plastic surgeon and be seen by your plastic
surgeon frequently during this time period.  I hope this information is

As a pure over the RS internet guess, I think you are allergic to the suture material used? Best to see your surgeon for better advise. I might offer/recommend Silvadene cream twice a day with in office PRP infusion therapies injections to areas with external laser red light for 5 minutes per each area. Fee would be $800 per weekly session til healed..

Thanks for the great question! We often use dissolving sutures to hold incisions together. The good and bad news is that these sutures often last for 2-3 months and can cause some problems as they dissolve. One of those problems is the little wound you have. Other than local wound care as instructed  by your surgeon, there's not much more for you to do. These will typically close up within 2-3 weeks. Eating a higher protein diet should help your body heal it a little bit faster. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber

Hello,
From the pictures posted its evident that that the deep sited stitches are now dissolving and coming out of the so called holes.
It doe happen sometimes but eventuality it will all heal.
In the man time keep the area covered by an antiseptic dressing.

It is not unusual to spit sutures when sutures begin the process of dissolving. The little holes heal up pretty quickly with proper cleaning and care. Especially after breast revision surgery where there is scarring and less blood flow.Follow your plastic surgeons advice, everyone has a different protocol for wound healing process.
