My stomach is still hard 3 months after lipo and it’s not flat. What’s happening? What do I do? (Photo)

Sorry to hear about your concerns after surgery, however it is still early in your recovery period. It can take as long as six months for all swelling to resolve and underlying scar tissue to soften. Concern of your bulging lower tummy may be diastases of your abdominal muscles and this can only be corrected with a tummy tuck. Discuss your concerns with your board-certified plastic surgeon. This could be residual fat, swelling, or a fluid collection.  An exam would be very helpful to assess.

It can sometimes take up to 6 months for liposuction swelling to completely resolve so make sure you are following your surgeon's instructions and you should be continuing to address any concerns with him.
