Post-Rhinoplasty scar tissue build up, kenalog 10 or 40?

Hi! I did my revision rhinoplasty about 2 months ago and I'm having some scar tissue build up in the upper part of the nose(where my bump used to be) My doctor injected kenalog 10 in the area and the scar tissue went away for a week then "came back". This was 4.5 week ago, should I ask the doctor to try with Kenalog 40?

Thank you for the question. I am happy to say that 2 weeks after surgery is definitely not your final result. The nose takes a very long time to recover and the final result is probably seen after 2 years, not 2 weeks. Hang in there and stay in touch with your surgeon. Good luck in your healing...

If my upper lateral cartilage is caved in from my primary rhino and septoplasty, what options can correct that in revision?

Usually this can be corrected using a spreader graft harvested from the remaining cartilage but does require formal revision.  Usually this can be done through a closed approach which would minimize postoperative swelling of the tip

At this time your nose should be fine and the bones are strong enough to withstand contact.  I let my patients resume contact sports in 6 weeks.

Hi and thanks for your question and photos.  This looks like more of a surgical revision issue, but filler can be used to camouflage the problem area.  I would be happy to see you for this.
