I would love to get a Breast Augmentation and a BBL within the shortest timeframe possible but I read that you can't combine those two surgeries because of the recovery process like not being able to lay on your back with a BBL but also not being able to sleep on your stomach with a Breast Augmentation. So how long do I have to wait in between surgeries? And also what would you recommend to do first? A Breast Augmentation and then the BBL or the other way around? Thank you in advance!
Answer: How much time between BBL and breast augmentation? Hello and thanks for your questions. I would advise you to separate these 2 procedures by at minimum of 10-12 weeks to allow for adequate healing, and preferably 4-6 months to allow for full healing. The order is completely up to you - BBL has a much longer recovery period before getting back to full function 3-4 weeks vs breast augmentation which is 1-2 weeks. I would encourage you to schedule a consultation and discuss your breast enhancement and BBL treatment options with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), who is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), and also a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) demonstrating their commitment to cosmetic surgery and excellence in surgery. Assure that they have multiple before and after photos of results that you like so that you can have an informed discussion about your breast augmentation and BBL and possible results after a comprehensive exam.Best wishes,

Liposuction, BBL and Breast Augmentation with implants is actually a very common combination of procedures and it's proven to be safe. Not all Doctors advise not to lay on your back after a BBL, in my experience I've seen sitting and laying after a BBL doesn't alter results. I would recommend combining those procedures to avoid putting your body under surgery trauma twice in a short period of time.

The pros of this decision is that there is only one recovery time and it cuts down on the cost as far as facility/OR and anesthesia fees since you are combining the two surgeries together. With my patients they are able to lay down like normal so it is not an issue to get the breast augmentation. Every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other. These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks. The pressure caused by sitting is not sufficient to affect viability of the fat cells and so the postsurgical position depends basically on comfort and any other operations that have been performed.
