How long does Kenalog shot take to make a noticeable difference?

Kenslog is used for a variety of things in plastic surgery. It can used to treat thick scars or keloids or after rhinoplasty to reduce swelling especially in the nasal tip.  It works very slowly and gradually and often needs to be done three times a month apart.

Kenalog can start to work in as little as a few days but generally it takes about 2-3 weeks to begin to have its effect.  It may continue to influence changes in the tissue for even 2 months or more. 

Kenalog is a slow acting injection and can take up to 6-8 week's before seeing the result. It is best not to have a second injection until after 6-8 week's from the first injection.

It may take several days to begin seeing the effects of a steroid injection.  In my experience, the effects of the injection itself can continue for 6-8 weeks.  So, you may continue to see improvement during that time.  For this reason, it is wise to wait a few months in between each injection.
