I'd like to have a varicose vein under my eye removed. What type of Doctor or specialist performs this procedure? (Photo)

I would see a board-certified dermatologist specializing in lasers to use a long-pulsed 1064nm Nd:YAG to treat the periocular vein.

Veins under the eyes can be safely removed with laser treatments. It is very important that you undergo treatment with a board-certified vein expert with years of experience. The eye area is delicate and only a laser expert should attempt to treat veins in this area.

I typically inject them once and if this takes care of it, no other treatment is necessary. If it is still there, I perform ultracision microphlebectomy which will take care of it nicely. 

There are several types of physicians who can treat this. Many vein specialists remove these veins routinely. I prefer removal either through mini incisions or via sclerotherapy.  Find someone with experience treating veins in this area.

A vein specialist can either ligate the vein or use a laser to get rid of it.  The ligation is a simple surgery that will eliminate the vein.  You have many other veins that will carry the blood flow.
