Thankyou hectorp1066 for your question. This depends. If your superficial spiderveins are being treated with a laser or injection, you are allowed to fly thenext day. It is extremely important that you wear compression garments 2-3weeks after your laser or injection treatment therapy. Ifyou have deeper veins treated with endovenous laser ablation, you will beallowed to fly 48 hours after this procedure. It is also important to wearcompression garments for 2-3 months after this procedure. Ifyou have any questions feel free to contact my office. Sincerely,J.Timothy Katzen, M.D.
Thank you for your question. Usually 1-2 days for light activities any a week for strenuous activity. Flying shouldn't be a problem. I would avoid lifting anything more than 10lbs. I hope this helps!
There is no significantly increased risk from DVT after this type of vein surgery. But after surgery, in general, there is an increased likelihood of developing DVT. Remember to stay active and do your foot exercises when you are flying and get up and walk every hour for 5 minutes. These activities will reduce your risk of developing phlebitis or deep vein thrombosis. Bottom line - It is nice to get recommendations from other physicians or vein specialists, but always get your definitive answers from the surgeon who is going to operate on you. He or she may have unique instructions and pos procedure care instructions for patients.
This would be a question for you operating surgeon, as I don't the extent of the surgery and what he / she did.Good LuckStephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery

Thank you ffaaitthh for your question. I am sorry that you are having this problem. This is a difficult question to answer without having a physical examination or photos. Since you did not include photos, I am guessing that these veins would respond to laser treatment. This may require 1-2...
This can typically be improved with a long pulsed yag laser , I would avoid sclerotherapy. Best, Dr. Emer.
