I recommend that you get an ultrasound imaging procedure to make sure that it is not related to varices that occur in patients with portal hypertension. A Doppler component will also be helpful in measuring the hemodynamics of the portal veins, etc. If there is no associated intraabdominal disease, then simple sclerotherapy and microphlebectomy will take care of the problem.
There are several options to remove abdominal wall veins depending on their size and number. In general, larger veins are best removed by either sclerotherapy or microphlebectomies (tiny incisions).
