I'm a 20 year old male currently attending college and I was wondering what type of surgical prodecure I could do to fix my weak chin or double chin. My budget is around 2,000$ since I'm still in college, any thing more than that is a little too much. My mom does have a double chin so I'm pretty sure I will also have it like her cause of genetics. I heard I could get chin liposuction or chin implant or non surgical chin prodecure or fillers. What do you guys think?
Answer: Someone help me choose what's right for me! Hi. IMHO you do very well with liposuction of the neck. You don't need a chin implant. Your budget is tight. Remember that you need to take into consideration, surgeon's and anesthesia fees, facility fess and the cost of the implant. Lipo of the neck is the most rewarding of all the liposuction I perform. It's fairly straight forward with a very high patient satisfaction. It can be done under local anesthesia with IV sedation or general. The anesthesia fees do not vary w either of theses methods. They may be less if strict local, anesthesia is used. In that case you receive no sedation. Only you can make that that call. Here at a our institute, you would be looking at an estimate of $2500. I've been performing liposuction procedures for the past 29 years. I encourage you to research, research and then research some more. The Miami area is filled its mom and pop clinics offering the lowest prices in town. Buyer beware............The key is............ does the surgeon have a keen sense of aesthetics? Can he/she create a shapely, attractive buttock or are they just technicians that wind up with large unshapely behinds? The same holds true for the liposuction portion of the procedure. Understand that liposuction whether SAL, PAL or UAL ( not including LAL because the fat obtained through this technique will not be useful) is not that technically challenging. However, the keen aesthetic eye will determine the eventual work of art.We are creators and have the ability to turn out beautiful works of art. Simply put................not all artists create quality work. Good luck

Answer: How to achieve #chiseledjawline #hollywoodprofile Dear Oklol911a very important aspect to your profile, chin and neck aesthetics is the underlying facial skeleton. To evaluate and give a complete opinion on what would work best more photos and special X-rays and Ct scans would be necessary for your work up. At the age of 20 your facial bones are for the most part done growing, so it would be safe to undergo orthgonathic surgery if necessary. I know as a college student it is difficult with finances. One of the simplest and cost affective things you can do is to let your beard grow. You have a very sharp line on the beard which accentuates the excess tissue of the neck. if you were to let the hair grow on your neck and along for a more natural beard line along the neck you will drastically improve the neck and profile appearance. This will cost you nothing. As far as surgical procedures, in my opinion (at least from the photos provided) i don't think a chin implant will improve our aesthetics. Your mentolabial fold (curve between lower lip and chin) is well defined. If you place an implant you may actually create an unnatural curve. Neck liposuction or liposculpture would improve the appearance of the neck, but one of the limiting factors as to how much improvement is the position of the hyoid bone. The more inferior the hyoid bone the more obtuse the neck will be, the more superiorly positioned hyoid bone the more define or acute the chin neck angle will appear. Another surgical option would be to have Giampapa sutures of the platysma. This entails a small incisions under the chin and behind the ears. Sutures are passed under the skin engaging the platysma muscle, and suturing to the fascia behind the ear (mastoid area) This can help define your neck with minimal downtime. Combine with neck liposculpture is an excellent option. that also doesn't prevent you from having other procedures in the future if you choose to have jaw surgery. Best of luck.

Answer: What's Right for my Double Chin? The decision for what to do to alter your chin and neck profile is best done with a physical examination and careful consideration of what is bothering you. You may choose a chin implant, neck lipo, and if your teeth are not optimally lined up, you might also benefit with orthodontic correction or jaw surgery. Sorry to tell you this though, at age 20, as a male, your lower jaw still might grow a bit more, so wait another year or so and then discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Chin implant and neck liposuction A chin implant is inserted on the mandible when patients have a weak chin profile. Its difficult to determine that based on the photographs and the beard pattern that is present. Fatty deposits in the neck are removed with liposuction. Both procedures can be done together or separately. For many examples of both procedures, please see the link and the video below
