I really do not like my heart shaped face. Mainly it's because of the pointy chin. Is there any kind of surgery I could consider?
Answer: Chin Implants Chin implants can increase the size and projection of a chin that does not project in proportion with the forehead, nose and mid-face. A small or recessed chin can also be described as one that seems to disappear into the neck of an individual of normal weight, rather than appearing as a distinct facial feature. A weak chin can also make your nose appear more prominent, an overbite appear more pronounced, a double chin appear worse, or your neck less youthful. I have been able to improve facial balance and harmony through placement of a chin implant. Often, this procedure may be performed at the time of nasal plastic surgery or neck contouring procedures such as face-lift or cervicofacial liposuction.

Answer: Correction of Pointy Chin The question is where whether your narrow chin should be widened in the back so it is not so pointy or whether the pointy part of the chin should be reduced. That would depend on what you look like in profile. I suspect that a reshaping of the pointy end of the chin is more of what you are looking for. That could be done through a submental incision to give the chin a more rounded appearance and not so triangular or pointy.

Answer: Chin implant candidate Chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes which is best determined at the time of the consultation and examination. Remember, the chin is a three-dimensional structure, so it is difficult to give an opinion from only one photograph. To widen a narrow chin area and the pre-jowl sulcus requires a pre-jowl implant. Answer: How to fix a pointy chin? Hi, I've performed many facial shaping procedures for over 30 years. A non smiling profile photo would help in the evaluation and to determine if the chin is not only pointed...but weak. If the chin is both, a silastic implant can create a more aesthetically shaped chin. If the chis isn't weak, then the same can be done using precisely placed dermal filler.Hope this helps.
