Amazing. Most caring attentive doctor I have ever met. I knew I made a good decision in choosing Dr. Lach for my surgery from the moment I met with him for my first consultation. He was very honest with me and didn’t sell me any dreams.,,, but the funny part is that the results of my breast reduction was better then my wildest dreams, lol, Anyway I can honestly say you are in the best hands when it comes to Dr.Lach. and Gail. Love them both. God bless them.
To read part 1 of my Vaser Liposuction journey, please click here. I am going back in for Vaser Liposuction in late August. I had my procedure done last Sept 2012 for my upper and lower abs and flanks. Tremendous difference but here I am almost 9 months later and still not happy with Abs...doc will redo Abs at no cost to me. Love my flanks and my stomach went down considerably from where I started last Sept. I just want to wear a fitted shirt with no "over-flow" which I still am not comfortable doing...you can see my first review under muffin-LESS under Vaser on this sight. I take lots of pic's too. I hoping to get a flatter tummy and a smoother back. He will be charging me $2500 for my back and Im good with that..I will post a photo of what I look like now. I have been working out and totally changed my diet with Shakeology and working out to Shawn T. Updated on 28 Jun 2013: I have been working out 6 days a week to Shaun T DVD's...and drinking Shakeolgy and trying to eat real clean...creating a new life style...hoping the 2nd time he goes in...in August....the fat will be easily accessible....lol...If you read my previous blog and see my pic's....belly came down a lot....but still not happy with it....so back I go...doc wanted to wait closer to a year since healing takes that long with nerves, etc...so hoping for a better result...I will DEF post a pick soon of where I am today...its my upper abs from belly button up that still protrude some...not happy with that...BUT if that fat is under my organs there is nothing you can do about that...just lots of cardio and work it off your self....WE SHALL SEE....I hope you are all doing well......Sharon Updated on 17 Jul 2013: Spoke with my doc..and we are moving the date up to August 15th for my revision on Abs and doing my back flanks (bra bulge) area. Still very sore and have numbing still going on..hardest part still is getting in and out of bed and going to the bathroom...which the toilet was higher..lol...swelling is DEF going down..still a bit to go...so early to see results...the garmet feels good to have on but the zipper on the side is uncomforable at times...getting it on after taking it completely off is still a two person task..very tender at waist and belly..still taking my pain meds...dont see myself wearing anything but yoga pants for a while since flanks and tummy are still tender...I can feel skin tightening every day...especially in the morning when i get up...love the feeling since I know something is going on and things are changing and healing...I had no drainage from stomach, lots from flanks but all done now. Im walking like im 60 very slowllly...lol...again..overall...in my opinion the procedure hurt alot more than the healing stage. Parts of the procedure were fine..no pain...others I wanted to scream....Im gonna give it 7 days before I post pic's due to swelling. Updated on 4 Oct 2012: 10/4/12--Hey all...so I just moved myself into a smaller compression garment....I bought a medium first thinking I would be alot smaller and after surgery...Doc said too tight...so I had to order same one in a Large at $120...they aint cheap for a real good one...so I have been wearing the large up until last nite...Yesterday I noticed I kept having to pull it cuz it was bunchin up around my back and sliding a wee bit...so In the Medium now and feel alot more compressed...which is what you want...so we will see how that goes...still very swollen and sore when pulling garment up or down to potty...even with the hooks at crotch...u still have to manipulate this thing..and I also want to make sure its sitting exactly right. Gonna see how I look Sunday and maybe do new pic's...that will be 13 days post op...as far as pain...im fine with Tylenol during day and sometimes need my vicodin at night...just from sitting at my desk all day....things get really sore...Hope everyone is doing well on recovery....until next time.... HAPPY HEALING!! Updated on 19 Nov 2012: Hey all....8 weeks post op today...feeling fine physically...still some swelling and soreness if I do to much...loving my flanks but still waiting on more results with belly....It feels great to look back at pic's and see that ghastly over hang gone...DEF lost half my belly at least so far...I am still weaing yoga pants because I have worn jeans to go out but basically at end of nite it makes me swell up and sore...so I would rather keep it comfy with my Yoga pants....I have enuf and they kinds look like black dress pants...I also will start my 2nd wk of Zumba tonite...so im working it...lol...Will take new pic's next week....HOPE u are all doing well!! :) Updated on 24 Nov 2012: Hey all...I am officially 2 months and 1 day post op..obviously my body has changed alot since my first day post op...but I feel like I am at a standstill with the swelling..other spots or lumps went down but now I am seeing the swelling right above my belly button area. I know it takes a full 6 months to see the results from Vaser but it can be a bummer still...I see doc again in Jan and hope it will be down more since it will be a bit over 3 months. I am still wearing my CG 24/7 until the swelling goes down. I am still tender in areas and still get a lil itchy here and there...signs I am still healing. I have posted new pic's BUT to me it seems like not much of a change...U TELL ME honestly. I am exercising and watching what I eat...I dont use salt at all anymore. Just ordered another CG garment a size smaller...I figured it cant hurt...well until next time...stay POSTIVE and PATIENT and continue our journey....thanks all!! Updated on 15 Dec 2012: 12 WKS POST OP on 12/17/12---NOT too happy still with my stomach...it seems bigger above my belly button area...It still protrudes...Dr telling me still too early to get upset....I just want it flatter...I dont care about minimal loose skin or stretch marks...I knew that would be there...it just the way it still STICKS out...ughhhh....this waiting game SUCKS....I am waiting for NOTHING or will it continue to go down....Im just LOST....I know I have stressed POSITIVITY....but my is getting low....grrrrr...until next time...I just posted new pic's from today.....thanks friends.... Updated on 27 Dec 2012: HEY ALL....just checking in...hope everyone had a wonderful holiday...I did good...didnt eat tooo much....lol...pretty much feeling the same...just waiting on Jan 7th to see doc since I think my belly still extends out too much....he said if theres fat under ur organs like ur intestines they cant get at it....so I am hoping thats NOT my issue....we shall see....hope everyone is well and staying POSITIVE....talk soon.....Sharon Updated on 31 Dec 2012: Hey all....14 WKS POST OP TODAY....can u see a difference HONESTLY in last couple of weeks...still got that lump on my lower right abs and feel my upper abs need more fat out...I am THRILLED I did it...just wondering if the changes will keep coming...what a process....Wishing you all a Happy, Healthy, fatless year in 2013...I see my doc next Monday so will see what he has to say...just want it to get a lil flatter...also I feel one of my flanks is smaller than the other...u tell me...I appreciate HONESTY...so if you have any feedback...please BRING it on....lol....Love to all my buds....Sharon Updated on 5 Jan 2013: Hey all...just writing in becuz I am in such a bummed mood...my stomach looks worse to me than better...so distended from around belly buttom and up..look prego...see Dr. on Monday nite and cant wait...I just dont get is...at almost 15 week I really thought it would be flat..if that fat is under my organs...Im basically screwed..but I can literally grab about 3" of fat on my stomach...just needed to vent...will keep u posted from Monday nites appt....thanks for listening :( Updated on 8 Jan 2013: Hey guys...just an update from my drs appts last nite...I expressed my concern with the dr...who by the way is soo awesome and understanding..he said im about 70% of the way on healing. Again..he showed me his pic's of where I was and the progress thus far and I must agree...I was quite LARGE in the middle prior to all this. I realize now my expectations were very high..and short of a tummy tuck to rid loose skin I do look fabulous...LOL...there I said it...hes wants to see me again in April..he said theres absolutly no fat on my flanks he only felt muscle...I am also a smoker so he said that impredes the nerve healing also...also got the speech on how bad smoking is..( I DO KNOW)...he spent almost an hour with me...he said he absolutely wouldnt touch me again in the stomach region for minimum a year for full healing...I know hes looking out for my best interest..if u do it too soon (a retouch) u can be left with pockets and dents since not fully healed...he assured me he wants me to be happy and is with me to the end. I FEEL MUCH BETTER...I have dropped 2 pants size from a 31 to a 29 so far. My upper tummy measurement went from a 38 to a 32 and my lower tummy went from a 42 to a 37 inches. That is alot. BELIEVE IT OR NOT...I also talked to him about my bra bulges and he said it would be about $3200 from the top of my bra area down my back for a smooth look...so I am considering that...first I have to finish paying for the 1st procedure...hubby not too happy with me even considering it...lol..but my back does show all the bumps and bulges when wearing a tighter shirt...I DONT LIKE THAT....so I will see...well I am changing my attitude to 100% positve as I went over my pic;s several times last nite and BABY..I HAVE come along way...from that huge MUFFIN to no overhang or very little...I cant expect more right now...I will ride this out for now...he says I have a distorted view of myself due to alway being so aware of my large belly and flanks..so with that said...I am going to remain postitive and let time do its thing...I want to thank all of you who have supported me thru this whole process with kinds words, boosts of confidence and just being there for me...without a few specific people I wouldnt of made it...so if I can help anyone out there...please feel free to contact me....the journey is LONG...the rollercoaster is scary and bumpy but overall we can make it thru it....THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH....until next time...xoxoxo......Sharon Updated on 16 Jan 2013: HEY LADIES....just checking in with all my girls to see how everyone is doing....Im good...still not totally happy with upper belly area...still distended some...but giving it the time the doc said to...talking to dr now about my bra bulge feathering down my back...hate that bulge....MY DAUGHTER IS GETTING MARRIED...engaged at XMAS...so I really wanna look FABULOUS...so really considering my back bulge now....HOW ARE U ALL DOING?? Updated on 14 Feb 2013: HEY ALL....Just wanted to say hi to all my girls who have supported me from the start...still not feeling it...still UNHAPPY with upper abs...but doc said wont do anything till a year is up...I see April 1st...will c if I can change his mind...there hasnt been any changes since I started complaining about upper abs...SO I HAVE TO WAIT...I dont wanna go somewhere else because I dont feel I should have to pay again...so will wait it out... :( Updated on 23 Feb 2013: I am finally adding my latest pic's...still so very unhappy with my abs...mostly upper abs..still protrude sooo much....I see doc April 1st and will discuss again then.... :( Updated on 15 Mar 2013: Hey all....its been a while...I have been in a rut with these upper abs...ughhh...sent my dr a email two days ago telling him I am totally not happy with tummy....yet to hear back from him....I do see him April 1st...suppose to do my back flanks (bra area and down) next month...he wont touch my abs till one year mark...BUT I am gonna ask him if we can do my back and abs late july or august...thats close to a year mark. Had it done in Sept....its stupid for me too go thru the procedure two more times instead of doing all at once...so we shall see. I hope you are all doing well...stay in touch....Sharon Updated on 27 Mar 2013: Hey all...just checking in and I have been keeping up with u all thru the posts sent to my phone...glad alot of you are doing well and happy...AS FOR ME...SOO NOT HAPPY...I see doc on Monday, April 1...gonna be laying it out for him. I found out I have actually entered the Peri-Menopause stage..so I did not get a period this month and with that I am so bloated...pants feel tighter and I am so upset. Upper abs look horrible...protrudes alot but still did that months ago as well. As I said before I booked my back flanks (bra bulge area) for May and he has stated all along would not to retouch on my tummy till one yr mark...well im gonna ask him if I reset my back to late August will he do tummy at that time...get both done at once. I sent him email weeks ago and I probably pissed him off cuz havent heard back and thats on thing he was awesome about. When I was initially seen..it was by a assistant...I specifically asked would my stomach be flat enuf to wear tighter shirts and I was told yes...in my note to him I said maybe he should be looking at the patients prior to procedure so there is no questioning the outcome...I dont know...just so freaking miserable rite now..will keep u posted after Monday...WISH ME LUCK!!! Updated on 1 Apr 2013: HEY LADIES....back from doctors...he still knows how unhappy I am about my upper abs...he believes theres is fat under the organs and that u can not get at..BUT he wants me to be happy...he will redo whenever I want...he highly recommends not before a year...body still healing...so I will take his advice and wait...I was gonna to my back next month but will wait and do both at same time..dont wanna go thru it 2 more times...one more time is enuf...he is not charging me anything for my abs. So I am pleased to hear that...so I will wait and workout and eat healthier. But I have a great sense of CALMNESS knowing he will redo for 100% FREE...some docs dont do that..he said his goal is to make me happy and he will continue this journey until I am...so now I just have to play the waiting game. I believe I got my first vaser Sept 24, 2012...so Im thinking early to mid Sept so I can take time off from work before out busy season again. I manage the office alone and its hard to be out during our peak season....I work for a oil company....hope u r all doing well...I am curious as to those that got a revision earlier if they are now satisfied with their current results...or do you wish you waited as my doc has advised....talk soon...be well! Updated on 23 Apr 2013: Hey all...its been a while...but I have been keeping up with u all...Going back in on August 25th to get my abs redone and also adding my bra fat (back flanks)...doc wanted me to wait a year from first procedure so that's pretty close to it. I need to do when my work is slow. Still not happy with my belly...gonna try and loose some pounds prior to procedure too...think I put on alittle weight due to entering peri-menopause...IT SUCKS...nite sweats are horrific..lol...so hes doing abs for free and gave me great price on my back. He DEF wants me happy...hes making me wait because he feels healing still goes on for up to one year...I am cool with that since hes willing to go back in....I hope you are all doing well in your journey...I will probably make a new page for that procedure since this one is really filled up with everyone's journey...LOL...Im glad we can all come together and share what we are going thru on one page....so until then...STAY STRONG...that what we are doing here in BOSTON....its been crazy here!!! Updated on 24 May 2013: Hey all..been a while since i touched base...i am definetly going in the end of august for doc to redo my upper abs and also gonna have him do my bra bulge while im there also know as back flanks. i have been eating clean and working out with shawn t and drinking shakeology. gonna lose some pounds b4 procedure to get the best results. still unhappy with the upper abs...still protruding...if the fat is under my organs which is a good possibility theres nothing u can do but workout. time will tell..i hope you are all doing well and your happy....i will start a new review in august after my procedure and will post pic's before and after...allll ova again....take care...sharon To read part 2 of my Vaser Liposuction journey, please click here. Updated on 29 Jul 2013: So looking forward to go back in and have touch up..not looking to swell up again thou...took so long for swelling to go down..hoping this time will be quicker healing with a lot less fat...my stomach is a far way from what it was. Gonna do my back too...get rid of those ugly back flanks. Hes not charging me for revision...will keep u posted....hope you are al doing well!! Sharon Updated on 8 Aug 2014: Just a comparison.....
I have always had heavy upper eyelids and as I passed 40 years old, they really started getting heavier and drooping. I found myself constantly lifting my brow to get my lids off of my eyes. At 44 yrs old I had upper bleph. I am 5 weeks out and am so happy with the decision. The scars are still red and I have a little hypertrophic scarring on one side that seems to be getting better with silicone scar gel. Overall, the result is just what I wanted. I didn't tell anyone and nobody has questioned me, except for why I look so good! I told my surgeon I wanted a subtle change, very natural, but get the lids off of my eyes. He removed some fat, muscle & skin. My lids were asymmetrical to begin with, and my surgeon did a phenomenal job making them better while still balancing my eyes, which are also not symmetrical. The bruising lasted for 3 weeks, which was longer than I thought. I only had uppers done, but the bruising was under my eyes. I still have a tiny bit of swelling, but it usually goes away by mid-day. This surgeon is incredibly talented with a wonderful bedside manner and impeccable credentials. He also performed smartlipo on my chin and neck, which was immediately noticeable. At 5 weeks out, I'm ecstatic with the results. I can't believe I waited so long to do this.
I have no other ways to contact this person , so I will put it In this way: To whom it may concern; I've been Trying to contact Dr. Elliot office and the lady answer to me, she's been rude keep lying to me that Dr. Was alreDy send me an email. And most of the times she yells and hang up on my face . Most of Doctors I went for consultation is free and I walked out of thier office with satisfaction . Basically they didn't let me out the office without providing me with qoute, At this point since I didn't get anything from Dr. Elliot I just want him to return my Cash, I paid $100.00 cash to see him for nothing. He basically wasted my time and money for nothing. Calling him everyday is a waste of my time . All I need from him to give me my cash back. Trust is very imfortant, at this point I have no respect and Trust for this Dr. And his receptionist Dianne . P.S. I have so much respect for my Friend , He referred me Dr. Elliot cuz he believes in him. But I guess he's wrong. I will bring this matter to court if I don't get my refund back! Thank you so kindly.s matter. I tried to be patience , waiting for nothing. It's been almost a month and I never heard from him.

Feeling much better today. Doc said I can shower today. Still weak but Day 2 was by far the worst. Back killing me last nite. Awake Ova 30 plus hrs in recliner. Was soo tired. Pain meds and cold meds and me don't mix well. They tend to make me hyper. Last nite I actually has regret. Just so uncomfortable. I haven't seen my belly yet. Drains put out 25 on each side today. Talking to doc every day via text and phone call this morning. Will try and get my daughters to take pics today. I have been up walking a lot to empty my bladder. Thanks again for your kind words and thoughts. :) Updated on 5 Jul 2014: 2 Days Post Op Updated on 6 Jul 2014: Comparison Updated on 6 Jul 2014: Front. Updated on 7 Jul 2014: Feeling better. Slow process for sure. Standing pretty straight for the most part. First thing in morning and by days end I do still nd a pain med. Tylenol during days works for days. My output on drains is about 10 on each side. Besides drains being a nuisance they don't hurt or bother me at all. Going to attempt another shower today. But on my own. Hubby has to work. Drains may come out tomorrow depending on drainage today. Will feel less cautious when there out. Swelling is mostly on incision line. My doc uses all internal stitches. The only stitches I have is where the drainage tubes are held in. BB looks good. Scabby. Yuck. Cleaned with peroxide last nite. Skin appears firm. Tight. And I don't see stretch marks. I haven't had a real good look. Can wait. No more bulging of hernia and it appears I no longer have a starfish for a belly button. When drain are out, I know I will get a much better look. Overall, I feel good. Just slow and out if breath easily. I have had 2 BM since procedure. Stool softerners DEF work. Use them. I will know tonite when I go back to c the doc. I hope u are all doing well and thanks so much for all the support. :D Updated on 8 Jul 2014: Hey all. Hope you are all doing well! Tomorrow I go and get these drains out. Yay!! They really haven't bothered me and have not hurt me at all. Lil worried how it will feel coming out. Been wearing summer dresses this whole time. Will b nice to put on yoga shorts. With the exception of Day 2. Not bad at all. Walking around quite a bit now. About 95% up right. My weight today is 138. Belly still appears swollen. Right at incision. When drains are out I will post more pics. Too much work rite now. Mostly using Tylenol with exception of one pain med at bed. Been sleeping well in my daughters bed. Been getting up and down and out of my recliner since day 2. And YES.....I too have the Ken doll going on. Lol. I will check in again tomorrow. My dr appt is at 10:45am tomorrow. I also showered all on my own yesterday. Thoughts and prayers to you all. Happy Healing! Positive thoughts. Xoxo. Sharon. :) Updated on 10 Jul 2014: Hey all. I have tried to update my review since yesterday when drains came out. Just never made it though it. Sooo here I go. Drains came out. Didn't really hurt just a WIGGY WIGGY feeling. Alien like if u will. Quite abit if tubing in there. He changed my dressing. Belly button exposed. He's very happy with how I'm looking. I'm DEF STILL SWOLLEN. Tummy still feels tight this morning. And still swollen. I will attach pic taken this morning. My doc differs on tight lcompression. He said not like Lipo where u want and nd to compress. He doesn't want binder tight. He stated it can kill the skin that's healing. I told him how on here that's all everyone talks about is compression. He doesn't agree. I'm gonna follow his instructions. I have all the compression garment from my 2 Vaser procedures last year. Marena Garments are awesome and comfy. I go back in 2 wKS. My weight is lower at 136 lbs. I will say my back is still sore. Sleeping in my own bed now. Totally upright walking. I get winded very easy and still feel weak. Can't wait to feel normal again but today only marks 1 week post-op. Hope you are all well. Happy healing. Take care!! Updated on 10 Jul 2014: I added pics from this morning. Updated on 10 Jul 2014: Pre Op to Day 7 Updated on 11 Jul 2014: Still feel very drained and tired. I feel I look so boxy too. I know it's only 8 days out. Very swollen at incision. Tummy still feels sooo tight. I have been out of work since day of surgery. I did take the next two wKS off too. BUT I MAY GO BACK EARLY. Stay hope next wk for sure. Maybe go back the following. I'm going crazy. I hope you are all doing GREAT!! Take care......Sharon Updated on 13 Jul 2014: Still dealing with swell hell and my ugly KEN DOLL area and my SQUARE WAIST. BUT...WHO'S complaining. LOL. Tummy feels very tight in morning and nite. I can feel my muscles so tight underneath too. In my bed at night. Just hate sleeping on my back still but not comfy on side yet. Incision area still very swollen. Paper tape only on incision. My doc used only inside stitches. I changed the paper tape on my own. Was scary first time with the lifting off of tape. Change every couple of days. Have been only taking Tylenol for pain for days now. Will attach couple of pics from this morning. I don't really see a change. Tell me if u do. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy thoughts and prayers to you all!! Updated on 14 Jul 2014: Did any of you experience more swelling where the drains came out. Which was almost to my hip area ?? I'm swollen along whole incision area it I should say above incision area. But DEF lil bit more swelling where drains where taken out. Updated on 15 Jul 2014: Just popping in to say. Today has been the absolute worse day of swelling. I feel horrible. Like I'm going to burst. Ughhh. Just needed to vent. Updated on 16 Jul 2014: Just adding some pics. Tomorr will b 2 weeks post op. That flew by. Updated on 21 Jul 2014: Hey all. Feeling so much better. Thank The Lord. Tummy still swollen at incision. Still flatter in morning. About 3/4 of BB SCAB fell off. I still tire easily. I'm glad I took 3 wKS vaca time from work. On top of it, I got my monthly friend so I know swelling will go down more. I really bloat about a week before. I go back to work next Monday. It will be interesting to see what I will b able to wear. I do have yoga pants and dresses. I usually wear jeans to work. Don't know if that will help only because I don't want any pressure on my waist yet. I see my PS on Friday. I will post new pics by mid week. Just not in mood to take them. Lol. Happy Healing to all. Hope you all are well. Thanks for the continued support. Updated on 22 Jul 2014: I have attached new pics from 6 am this morning. Not sure why I was awake. Updated on 26 Jul 2014: Had my 3 wk post op check up on this past Thursday. Doc very happy with my progress. I feel good. Still dealing with the swelling. Belly button looks great. Dr said one more week of paper tape on incision and then scar treatment begins. Already started scar treatment on belly button. The only thing I dislike at this time is small dog ear on left side. He brought it up on his own if it doesn't flatten out he wants to fix it. I have been off from work since surgery. I actually return to work on Monday. Hope everyone is doing well!! Continued HAPPY HEALING! Updated on 29 Jul 2014: I had my first day back at work yesterday. I manage a office so I am mostly at my desk but do get up to walk around and stretch out. I was off since July 3rd the day of my surgery. The day started out fine but by 1pm I could feel the swelling in my tummy along the whole incision line and above....by the end of the day I could wait to get home and put my legs up and lay down. I was very swollen and tight in the tummy by days end....swelling was done again this morning....Ughhhhh....already sick of SWELL HELL...back at work again today and already wishing for the weekend.....other than that I felt normal and productive....we shall see how the week goessss :/ HOPE YOU ARE ALL WELL!!!! Updated on 31 Jul 2014: Hey all...I hope everyone is doing well! I cant believe its already been ONE MONTH. The time has flown by. Overall I am doing great. SWELL HELL is the worst part. Yesterday I felt like a balloon ready to burst and today I feel great. Its crazy. I have been doing scar treatment on my BB for a week now per my doc. Looking better already. I can start scar treatment for the incision as of today. The lil dog ear in my last photos has DEF gone down. I will take pic's and get them up as soon as I can. HAPPY HEALING!! Try not to beat yourselves tooo much with the SWELL HELL....I am telling myself this every day...lol...it is a MAJOR surgery. Talk soon friends! :D Updated on 1 Aug 2014: I just realized I have been on this site for 3 yrs....started with Vaser Lipo to my Upper and Lower Abs (or lack of) and my flanks....felt he didn't take enuf and he re-did my tummy and I figured I would add on my back (huge difference there)...then I started working out with my Beachbody coach...and I lost 25lbs...which left lots of loose, ugly, hanging skin....then I decided on my Tummy Tuck...and here I still am...after lots of pain and trials and tribulation I can finally say Im happy where I am at. DEF have the swelling...but I realized today I can actually feel my hip bones again....Im glad I did the vaser's first....I remember how sore and uncomfortable and also swollen I was with that...it took almost 4 months to get into my "regular" clothes again...with just VASER. When I focus on that part of my journey I then realize that its only been a month since TT and I am expecting way tooo much tooo soon....like I said...took a whole 4 month of yoga pant wearing days at work till I could get back into "normal" clothes. Having a tummy tuck was major surgery, which I never had before...so I am raising my white flag and try to stop being so hard on myself....hope this helps anyone out who is experiencing SWELL HELL and hating it.....IT HAS TO GET BETTER...think of the trauma our bodies went thru....YIKES....continued HAPPY HEALING friends! I will post my one month pics tomorrow...... :D Updated on 1 Aug 2014: Okay here are my one month (4 wKS) photos. I do see a difference. This is on a good day!! I see I'm still swollen on each hip area at incision. My dog ear went down from pic I posted last. Time will tell Updated on 2 Aug 2014: Review pic Updated on 3 Aug 2014: Ck them out Updated on 8 Aug 2014: Feeling stronger and better. Still have SWELL HELL AT TIMES. DEF.....still swollen at hips as u can c fr pics. Love my BB for sure. Still dog ear on my left side. Ughhh. Does anyone know how the handle a revision of dog ear which doc already mentioned at first post op. Do they do in the office? The thought of bring cut again doesn't thrill me. Overall I am very happy. Came soooo far in ugly tummy land. 2 Vasor procedures and TT. Still doing silicone scar treatments daily. A bit ropey on incision line. That about SUMS it up. Thanks and HAPPY HEALING TO ALL!! Updated on 8 Aug 2014: One think I want to address since I see soo many of you unhappy with or dealing with uncomfortable compression garment. Since I also had Vaser Lipo over a year ago I feel your pain with comfy compression. I got mine from MARENA.COM. UNBELIEVABLY COMFORTABLE. I have the body suit with hook n eye crotch and suspenders on front. To wear your own bra. I prefer my own bra so the boobies are not mushed down. Lol. I paid $90 each and have 2. A bit pricey but for the $$ I already spent its a drop in the bucket and so worth the level comfort. Hope that helps anyone of u out. I can't say enough about them from my personal experience of 2 Vaser Lipo procedures last year and now at 5 wKS into my TT. :D Updated on 8 Aug 2014: This shows 1st PRE OP and two post op. Biggest pic is today Updated on 14 Aug 2014: Today is week 6 Post Op for me. Im feeling a lot more like my old self but without that luggage of a belly...Starting next Monday I am going back to my workouts...I have been doing BeachBody work outs for well over a year....that's how I lost 26lbs before surgery. Going to start PiYo with Chalene. Check it out on utube. I do swell up still...other days not so much...all depends on what I do, etc. I have been staying healthy with my eating as well and lots of water. Starting to feel my tummy a lil bit again too...Have been doing scar therapy and I don't see my doc again until mid Sept....I hope your all doing well!! I will get new pic's up no later than Sat. morning....want to take in the morning and that's tough during the work week....TAKE CARE ALL!! :) Updated on 16 Aug 2014: Some pics for my 6 wk mark. Still swelling at each end of incision at hips. One small dog ear on left hip. Feeling great. Updated on 16 Aug 2014: Forgot to add the pic. :( Updated on 28 Aug 2014: WOWZER...time has flown. I feel good and I am very glad I went with the TT. The only issue I still have that I DISLIKE is the very ends of my incision on each hip...I know for certain L/S is a dog ear but not sure what the R/S is...if that's a dog ear too...or skin that was left there that should of been pulled tighter. I just send this morning's pic to my PS now. My scar is healing nicely but its not smooth yet. I have been using Scar Gel and alternating with Silicone strips. I do LOVE my belly button since it really didn't exist b4 surgery. I am back to working out and hope this will help define my body more. I have been walking completely upright for a while now. I do still experience swell hell...especially after walking too much or doing too much...like going school shopping with my daughter and walking the mall. It swells and still gets tight...DISLIKE that feeling. I can only HOPE and PRAY that it will continue to look better...but at the very least...I look a hell of a lot better than I do prior to TT. I don't regret doing it at all. I see the dr. again late Sept and see what he has to say or waiting for him to text me back regarding the pic I just sent. One thing is for sure....we DEF are our own WORST CRITICS!! I will attach pic's next...HOPE you are all healing well....TAKE CARE!! Updated on 28 Aug 2014: Updated on 4 Sep 2014: Hey all...I am 9 wks post op today...I don't have pic's yet but I have been super swollen and/or tummy feels bloated with muscle spasms and tender. Not sure whats going on but DEF...NOT LIKING THIS....I see my PS again in 2 wks. We will discuss the dog ear's and I am hoping this puffy crap goes away....lol....NO PUN intended but I have been constipated last few days...so not sure if that has something to do with it.....Have not felt like this since prob wk 2....HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED this???? Arghhh...feeling discouraged....I stopped working out cuz I was told to listen to my body....Im listening!! ANYONE???? Updated on 6 Sep 2014: No change really. Def feel swollen and bloated. 2 wKS till PS appt. Updated on 18 Sep 2014: Hey all...sorry I haven't been on....11 wks out already...feels longer....I still having numbing in my tummy and swelling here and there...but I am HAPPY!! Love my BB. hope u r all doing well. Updated on 26 Oct 2014: Sorry for the long delay in posting. Life has been chaotic. Overall I am happy with my progress. The only think I'm still not happy with is the dog ears on each end. One side is DEF extra skin that should of been removed. Other side is a obvious dog ear. I see doc Friday and will address this. Lov my new BB so much thou. Will post again when I see doc on Friday. I'm considering Botox at my visit. Crows feet looking nasty. ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH BOTOX. I JUST DONT WANNA LOOK FREAKISH. Updated on 1 Mar 2015: Pics of changes. Been doing the 21 Day Fix and now on to 21 Day Fix EXTREME Updated on 10 Mar 2015: I am one week out from correcting the dog ears...he did it right in the office...with Lidocaine (not sure of spellin..LOL)...I had about 5 shots on each side...that hurt more than anything else...looks a lot better but one side still looks bigger than other...I am swollen so I will give it some time. Back in yoga pants since jeans would put too much pressure on stiches...all my nerves were for nothing...easy peasy!! I will post pic's as soon as I get a chance....finger crossed lil bit of swelling goes down quick....
I am 44 years old and had sagging and heaviness under my chin and along my jawline. This bothered me every time I looked in the mirror. I am 5'7" and weigh about 135 lbs. I don't have a problem with weight, but this would not go away on my face. I didn't know exactly what I needed to do, so I consulted a Plastic/Cosmetic surgeon. We decided on the Smartlipo, and I am so glad I did. I was awake during the procedure and felt nothing. The only pain was with the injection to numb the area. I had approximately 3 tbs. removed from the area. I was bruised for about a week, not much pain, just felt bruised.I am 5 weeks out and still have a slight feeling of bruising. I was numb for about a month, and just about all of the feeling has returned now. What a nice, natural look. I won't really see the full result for several months, from what I am told, but even if I stay like this, I'm thrilled! The area was hard for about three weeks.I wore my compression wrap 24/7 for about 1 1/2 weeks, then just to bed for another week. I was very worried about loose skin, lumpiness and changed skin texture. I have none of this. I'm amazed at the immediate retraction of the skin. I didn't look this good 10 years ago, and again, I'm only 5 weeks out! Absolutely 100% happy.
So my 29th birthday was rolling around, and because of recent success in my sales job I had some extra dough coming my way. I'm 5"5' and about 145-150 pounds. I would describe myself as quite athletic, and skinny but after 25 by metabolism slammed on the brakes and it was a lot harder for me to get rid of the jelly here and there. I spent a lot of time stressing and bitching about it so I finally decided that as a birthday present to myself I would do smart lipo. Initially, I was at first interested in some of the cellulite treatments but those cost $2,000+, wasn't permanent, and from the feedback on this site, seems like it barely worked. I decided why not spend a few thousand more and get something almost permanent. I probably spent a good 20% of my week obsessing about how to lose weight, what I did or didn’t eat, or going to the gym so to find a solution that could relieve some of that stress and time seemed like a good gift to myself. Sooo anyways, I did the research, picked the place and got it done. After reading all the reviews on here I was really expecting a lot more fuss and muss. I had the procedure at 2:00 on Wednesday and I'm now typing away on my computer about it on Friday night feeling great. I almost feel like I had a different procedure than other people or that people were exaggerating because it was kinda (I hate to say it) easy. Like I said I went in on Wednesday to {edited - provider information is located above the review for registered users}. My doctor, {edited - provider information is located above the review for registered users} (Harvard Resident, and Pres of the Massachusetts Plastic Surgery Association) performed the surgery. Here is the play by play for those who are curious: They had me eat a big lunch, and not drink a ton of water so I wouldn't have to pee during the procedure. I put on a johnny and the doctor drew markings in a sort of pyramid shaped on my upper and lower abs marking where he would be doing his work. He also asked why my perfect abdomen would need work. I'm not fat but the chub pooch was obvious. The sentiment was nice though. From there they moved me to the operating room and had my lay down. The doctor pinches the skin and gives you the pain shots all over the tummy. Then the put in i think IVs and filled the whole section of my upper and lower abs under the skin with lytocaine and saline. Your whole belly area fills way up. You feel pregnant or like you are going to pop. This section is the only part with pain, but it’s mostly just pinchy. I have to admit, I am pretty good with pain and tend not to get nervous or freak myself out with this kind of stuff so other people might have other experiences. After this they leave the room and let you relax for about 10 minutes or so, so that the lyodcaine can work at numbing the whole section. I put my Ipod on and just chilled. The doctor and nurse came back and the doctor got to work on the laser portion. He threaded the laser into a long instrument about the length of your arm. This is the probe he then uses to probe all the areas of your stomach being treated. This took the longest. About an hour, and he really was going to work jabbing under the skin but I felt no pain. Once this is completed they then lipo out the displaced fat. It only looked like about a cup and a half worth taken out, but they said the rest you just pee out. They finished that in about 15 minutes and I was done. The whole thing took less than 2 hours. The nursed showed me how to dress the drainage spots with pads, and then helped me put my compression garment on and I was out the door. I drove myself home and felt fine. I was even considered meeting my friend out for dinner but decided against it because even with the compression garment on you look about 4-5 months pregnant because of all the saline they fill you up with. She said that might also be the case for work the next day. For the night, I took the Vicodin that was prescribed, lied on my stomach on my bed to help the drainage, chugged water, watched movies and was happy as a clam. When I woke up in the morning my stomach had drained enough that I just wore a normal shirt that flowed away from my stomach over my compression garment and went to work as normal. Bending and picking things up were kind of hard, but I just sit at my desk most of the day so it was no biggie. I took the train into work, walked to lunch and took the train home with no problem. The look of my stomach is a little weird. It has a jigglie looseness but my skin already seems smoother (no cellulite bumps.) It's still swollen, but flat. I used to have what I called my loaf of bread, a section along my middle that stuck out and that's gone. There's no bruising or redness, but there is some pooling of blood in my pelvic area. I think because I wore my compression garment too tight, but the nurse said that was fine. Basically, I am very happy. I feel fine. I see flatness and smoothness already, and I am just waiting on the final result. For me it seems to be a good choice. I believe i was probably a best candidate though because I'm in good shape, am fairly young and had some small pouching. I can't say that the same result would be true for someone older or with more of a problem. Unfortunately I don't have before and after pics but I do have two from right after. You can see the red spots from where they put in the pain killer shots, and some of the marker. Feel free to ask me any questions. I was happy to find info here when I was initially looking so I am happy to give others info. Updated on Sep 8, 2008: Hi!! Posted pics of me a month after my surgery. My upper abs seem all healed. There is no pain and I can see a difference. The contrast between my upper abs and my bust is greater-making my boobs look bigger and my upper waist smaller (yah!!) I believe my lower abs are still healing because they have tenderness when I push on my pooch area. I hope this is causing them to still be swollen since you can see that it still looks a little chubby/round in that section. I am working out as normal now except I am not able to run because the bouncing is painful on the lower abs. I will post more pics as I progress.
Thank you for writing in, Paulliana! Breast augmentation, whether performed submuscular or subglandular, results in a variable amount of very necessary post operative healing. Tightness in the entire area of surgery on the breasts is expected! Physical activity, especially using the arms will not be the same initially but in time, will totally return to normal as a rule. Everyone will seem to experience a different amount of swelling and discomfort that occurs over a varied time schedule. Communicating with your own surgeon about your concerns is always the most reliable way to confirm that you are progressing as expected. Whether at 11 days or at 111 days and beyond, they are your trusted connection to reassuring you and guiding you in the process.
Depending on the technique that your surgeon uses, there will always be a variable rate of healing. In general, minimally invasive approaches to most operations have more rapid healing than conventional open procedures. Gynecomastia surgery can take many weeks to months to settle down from the initial date of operation at which point it is then better to assess the end-result. Collections of blood, internal suturing, and natural internal healing-related inflammation can delay the expected final soft result. What may not been addressed is the reason, if any, of the cause of the gynecomastia. While many men have one sided, or two sided breast development for no obvious reason, men who have a history of estrogen related or other hormone related breast development may continue to have nipple sensitivity or puffiness despite surgery if the hormone issues are not identified and addressed. Don't be shy about discussing your concerns with the surgeon who operated on you and who will be the best resource to answer your specific situation. Dr. Lach
Thank you Lina, for sharing your concerns about bleeding 10 days after your trim Labiaplasty. Bleeding after any surgery can occur minutes to days after having any operation that involves tissue removal or rearrangement. As surgical swelling subsides and leaking fluids and blood cells need a place to drain away from, pressure can build up which may result in visible bleeding once the fluid finds its way out of the body through the original incision. If the incision remains intact the fluid just gets absorbed eventually. Labiaplasty is performed in an area subject to wear and tear from clothing as well as natural body functions so sutures are going to be under all sorts of stresses including breakage and unraveling of the suture knots. Specific concerns should be discussed with your surgeon so they are aware of what you are going through.
At one month post op, much but not all of the swelling related to surgery is resolved. Final settling in of the implants has not occurred either in all likelihood. From the photographs, it would appear that there is a slight assymetry present which, if the implants are identical going in, is related to preop baseline breast size. Small changes preop are sometimes more obvious in augmented breasts postop and at times have to be accepted or the surgeon can place a smaller size prosthesis on the larger preop side.
Dear Elakimba, I believe that you answered your question yourself! Different style implants will be expected to have different proportional dimensions regardless of the implant volume as measured in cc's. Take for example a theroreticly perfect dome shaped breast implant compared to a tear drop or spherical shaped implant- they may have similar total cc's but one would look bigger than the other and its up to you and your plastic surgeon to decide what you want to select based on your anatomy. Its actually part mathematics and part aesthetics. I believe also that the 560 cc silicone gel implant you described actually measures 14.0 cm in diameter and has a projection of 5.4 cm so its broader and larger at the base but projects less than the 700 cc style 45.
