I have had a liposuction with fat transfer to my buttocks and hips. 2 weeks after I started having pain in one side of my hips, swollen, warm to the touch. It turned out to be an infection, had to be drained and I received antibiotics. Then a week later, it happened to the other side too. Now, I'm going on 22 days since my operation. I have another pimple/infection that my Dr drained yesterday. I'm in a lot of pain. This is 3 so far. Where did all go wrong?
Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.

Answer: Post operative infections Infections do happen.Sometimes from surgery sometimes without surgery.infection rates from liposuction are exceedingly rare. With fat transfer there a slightly higher but still less than 1%.The great majority of plastic surgeons use antibiotics immediately before the procedure and for a few days after. Most surgical infections are caused by the patient's own skin bacteria which can contaminate the tissues during the procedure. The chance of this happening is minimized by using sterile technique's and giving patients antibiotics before and after the procedure.it's not possible to say if anything was done incorrectly simply for the fact that you developed an infection.your doctor does not appear to have any training and plastic surgery. He claims to be board-certified in hair transplantation. No there is no formal residency training in hair transplantation. If your procedure was performed at Strax then all I can say is that clinic has a questionable reputation online.not only are there yelp reviews some of the worst I've ever seen but their staff commit patient privacy HIPP violations by giving personal medical information in response to negative reviews on yelp.based on all of this it appears to be somewhat of a shady operation in my opinion though I have never been there nor do I know any of those physicians personally.continue following up with your doctor. If you do not get the care you need or deserve I suggest a second opinion. If things get out of hand and you feel like you're getting sick you should present yourself to an emergency department where there is a plastic surgeon on callBest of luck,Mats Hagstrom M.D.

Answer: Is it the doctors's negligence. Is my body rejecting the fat? Sometimes after fat injections to the buttocks you can develop infection that manifests as boils or redness(cellulitis). It appears that you have developed superficial boils(abscesses ). They need to be lanced , cultured treated with the appropriate antibiotics. For the deeper abscesses the diagnosis and treatment is ultrasound guided needle aspiration.
