What's the difference between 360 Lipo, Liposculpture and BBL? (Photo)

Question

I want a dramatic waistline (high waist) and rounded rear WITHOUT a bubble butt, which would look unnatural on me. Ideally, I want minimal transfer to butt and hips. There are so many types of lipo (360, BBL, etc). I don't know which would address all problem areas. Some personal stats: Hispanic 154lb 5'3 Broad Shoulders, Square Hips Short butt crease, small butt in relation to chest Short Torso (I'm ok with this) Fatty arms and upper back Rear inner thigh fat deposits Thanks!

Excellent question! Liposculpture is basically another word for Liposuction. Lipo-suction essentially stands for fat-suction, therefore lipo-sculpture would be "fat-sculpture".  It is more commonly used when something different or extra is being done in conjunction with lipo..... but mostly just to make it sound different. There are many other types of lipo, and they have to do with the devices, technology and types of energy the surgeon uses before or after liposuction. Some work much better then others. Beware of the gimmicky ones that over promise and under deliver.

So, 360 Lipo means that lipo is to be performed all around the torso. For example, abdomen, waist, flanks, and full back. A BBL is when the suctioned or harvested fat from Liposuction (Liposculpture), is grafted to the buttocks and hip area. This is also called fat grafting and can be done on many areas of the body.

Without a front view photo I cannot be certain if abdominal lipo would suit you best. That said, 360 lipo (abdomen, full back, flanks and waist lipo) plus the correct amount of BBL would give you the results you are looking for!

this needs vaser lipo 360 with internal heating and bbl. you just need  a doctor who does a lot of natural, athletic body contouring.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

Liposculpture is another word for liposuction, however is more commonly now being referred to high definition liposuction which is performed in patient’s near their ideal body mass index to sharply defined their underlying anatomy. A BBL usually involves 360 Lipo to improve the waist to hip ratio. Based on your pictures, it looks like your benefit from 360 Lipo with a BBL.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. Ideal candidates for liposuction are at or near their ideal weight and have good skin elasticity. Lipo is intended to remove stubborn pockets of fat that don’t respond to regular exercise, as the skin does need to be able to smooth back into place after the procedure is complete. If the waist was smaller at one time, the waist can likely be reduced through liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, back, and love handles to those same measurements or smaller provided the muscular and fascial integrity has remained the same.
The fat harvested can be transferred to the buttocks to ensure optimal fat viability and projection. The amount of fat that can be transferred with a BBL depends on the quality of fat available for ‘harvest’ and the condition of the receiving area.
360-degree liposuction targets multiple regions of the midsection where stubborn fat may be a problem.

You present many issues in your multi conceptual question. The term of "liposuction", "liposculpture", Lipo 360, BBL - are all similar except the BBL adds fat transfer to an area (here to the buttock). Always best in person evaluations with private practice (NOT clinic!) boarded Plastic Surgeons. Additionally your wish pic is soooooo unrealistic for your body type. Showing these wish pics are fine but NO surgeon can ever ever guarantee results to match a wish pic or a photo shopped photo.
